Dia grew up in India, but bounced between there and Switzerland. If you asked her where she liked more she would say Switzerland. Being born into a brahmin family meant she was a top tier Indian. Her parents were rich and had quite a bit of money. Having money meant she had maids and servants who cooked and cleaned the house. She lived a pretty average life for the most part (other than being raised in wealth). Dia was interested in people and their behavior at a young age and would often do things to piss off her parents in order to gauge their reaction what was the line between them being mad or them being furious.
In her eyes she had a very good relationship with her parents. She had a Dad and a Step-Mom who treated her like her own child. Though this was due to the fact that her Step-Mom thought she wasn't her fathers child, but rather her fathers, sisters child. Dia's aunt had died before she was around and her father told her step mom that she was his sisters daughter that he takes care of because that's what family does. Dia never found this weird, and assumed it was because he had to keep the fact that she was a demi-god a secret. Her parents often hit her since she was pretty disobedient, though Dia also finds this normal because that's what happens when you disobey your parents. Her Step-mom often told her to clench her teeth so if she was going to be slapped it wouldn't hurt as much. Overall she tells people who ask her that she had a normal childhood and she wholeheartedly believes this. She believes her parents love her and she loves them. However whether or not they like her or if she likes them is up for debate. Regardless of whether or not they like her she feels a sense of duty and obligation towards them. Family is family, and you shouldn't turn your backs on them, even if they turn their backs on you.

Dia is pretty odd, she is awkward and likes to make jokes at the wrong time. She is very self motivated, and doesn't like to let on she cares about things, or people. Despite this though she is pretty easy to read when it comes to her emotions. Despite her best efforts she wears her heart on her sleeve. She builds up walls, but unfortunately for her there are many cracks in them. When trying to comfort others she often feels awkward and tends to ramble and trip over her words. She means the best but she panics and blurts out more than one train of thought at once.
Dia is silently competitive she gets annoyed when people are better at her at things she's supposed to excel in. She will admit at being bad at things she's not good at it. There are many things Dia is not interested in, and if she has no interest in she won’t put in effort. Dia is very curious by nature and pokes her nose where it doesn’t belong. She enjoys solving puzzles and riddles along with finding things. This is not limited to places, Dia is very curious about her own pain tolerance and often harms herself to see if she can withstand it or not. She lets her snake bite her often in hopes of building a high tolerance of it.
Loyalty is very important to Dia and she often looks for this characteristic in others. She herself is a very loyal person, like many things in her life she tries to hide this. Her feelings of loyalty would probably be classified as unhealthy, though she doesn't believe this. Blindly following people she deems herself close with, with no hesitation is fine to her. There is no right or wrong when it comes to the people she is closest to, it is just them.
Romantic things is something Dia has an interesting relationship with. She herself loves romantic things, often reading stories or watching tv shows with this subject matter. The people who have that in their life are some of the luckiest, because not everyone gets to be loved, or deserves it. Dia does not believe she is someone who should be or deserves it. Dia goes out of her way to prevent herself to find love, or fall in love. She doesn't want to be loved, or at least that's what she tells herself. Love leaves you open to get hurt, and seems better fitted for people that aren’t her.
Something Dia struggles with is who she is. She struggles with the idea of being good, and evil. She feels like she is meant to be bad, and do evil things. That is just her nature, however her environment and the people she surrounds herself are fairly good. She has a hard time leaning towards one side more than the other. She doesn’t want one side to win, but she doesn’t want either side to lose either.
In general she is very self destructive person and will try to make herself as isolated as possible regardless of if that is what she really wants.

Jack was Dia's favorite teacher at Innsmouth. He was her mentor and someone she looked up to. Dia thinks he is the most well adjusted adult. She has adopted many of his mannerisms as a result of spending so much time with him. Through the years Jack has become more than a mentor to Dia. He is a second father to her, infact he is more of of a father than her actual one. She has asked him to offically adopt her when her actual father 'passes away'. When she's on missions and he's there she feels a sense of safety.
Jack is the only person she has ever said I love you to and genuinely meant it. Dia admires Jack more than she could express, one of her favorite quality about him is his loyalty. She adores the fact that he never remaired or dated after his wife passed away. Dia whole heartedly agree with this. If Jack ever got involved with another women, Dia would put an end to it.
Yanagi is Dia's best friend. They grew up together at school and have done a lot of stupid stuff with one another. She use to be involved with Yanagi sexually but stopped just slightly after her getting bitten by a vampire. Despite their weird relationship and the ups and downs with it they remain good friends. Dia often thinks they are too similar and tells him this. Dia would go out of her way to help Yanagi. She strongly believes that he would be happiest not in the secret world. Yanagi in her mind would be happiest using his powers to help humans and keeping them safe. A secret worlder living in the normality of humans, and not a secret worlder surrounded in the secret worlder world. Yanagi is probably the person she knows best.
Megumin is Dia's best friend that's a girl. Their friendship means a lot to her, because Megumin was the first female friend she ever made. Dia would say their friendship is an interesting one and resembles more of an sister relationship. Dia being the older sibling while Megumin would be the younger. Dia has a hard time understanding Megumin sometimes, and often feel conflicted on whether or not she should say something. Dia also has a hard time accepting that Megumin has grown up, she still see's her as the little girl who helped her make a cat potion. It makes her a bit sad that Megumin rushed growing up, but she is a deamon and they age differently. Dia is doing her best to accept this, but still feels there is a barrier between them.
Dia finds Celeste to be whimsical, this may be due to the fact that she is a ghost. Celeste is quite beautiful, and Dia often wonders if dying played a part in that. Talking to Celeste is always calming and pleasent. Celeste reminds her of a cool breeze on a summers day. Dia loves how cute her and her husband Harkan relationship is. There are things she's not sure about, but neither of them have ever indicated being unhappy with each other so Dia doesn't focus on that. She finds it sweet how much she cares about Harkan, and often helps her where she can.
Harkan is a weird person, and Dia finds this amusing. Dia is unsure if Harken knows how un-nerving his awkwardness is, or if he is just completely oblivious. Dia's and Harkan's relationship stemed from him giving her detentions for misbehaving and being a sarcastic little shit. Though Dia is not very close to Harkan, she likes him well enough. She is very interested about where he stands on certain things because he is the god of death.
Dia feels awkward around James. He's the first real angel she has ever met and he is a lot. She finds him amusing though with how he speaks. He is very convicted and speaks... loudly with an air of authority. Dia doesn't know much about James other than the fact that he wants to fix the barrier. She wonders if James would kill her if he found out all the terrible things she has done. Unsure of the angels code of conduct she is careful around him, but for the most part she likes him. He has white hair afterall.
Holt is a very strange man with a very heavy Russian accent. Dia doesn't understand half the things he says and just sort of goes along with it. He is someone that Dia doesn't always know how to respond to, probably because Holt overshares. His food is delicous though and is worth dealing with the odd things he tells her. She is currently learnng to cook from him which she doesn't completely hate...anymore. Holt has a big heart, and Dia thinks he'll get himself in trouble because of this. However she can't imagine him any other way.
