Jojo and her pan flute.
The Beginning
Jocelyn Hallmark- Jojo though, please- was born in (town name), a bright and sunny port city. Being a port city, it was a popular destination to meet travelers who were coming and going. A perfect place for a budding entertainer to gain experience. From the day she was born, it was obvious Jojo loved attention and loved putting on a show for others. Always the extrovert, the young girl learned to sing, dance, and even learned a couple of instruments. She'd perform on the streets, enjoying the attention it brought her. However, Jojo had a gift that mirrored her love of entertainment. In fact, she had two.
Her first ability, Show Stopper, is incredibly powerful. It's a type of mind control achieved through singing. Jojo need only affect one person- that single person begins singing. Like an infection, it spreads amongst the people nearby, resulting in a crowd of singers. She cannot control their actions, but it does result in a hazy, fuzzy memory of what just happened. This means if Jojo needs to get something done in a major city, she does not worry about how many people are watching her.
Her second ability is Puppeteer, which is her actual ability to take control of a person and use them as she pleases. This ability latches onto the part of the brain that's in charge of Sentic abilities- meaning Cortics, those without abilities- are not affected by this.
Jojo's abilities were far too desirable for the Elite, and they sought her out to join them. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and despite giving up her freedom, it definitely paid well and she could still do a lot of what she already was in the past. Her tiny frame was initially a worry, that she was too weak to be a great fighter; but like everything else, Jojo took that personally and proved she was a capable fighter. Her agility exceeds many of the others, and her quick thinking makes her a force on the battlefield. Jojo has personally requested to be Elite #6, the last in line, purely to gatekeep. She is the fighter that potential new members must fight. Only a couple of people have made it past her to join their ranks.
