The Beginning
Sonia is born in the capital city, (name). Born an only child to her mother and father. Despite growing up with no siblings, Sonia was never alone in her youth. Her childhood friend Soren, always by her side. The two did everything together from going to each others houses, to exploring the woods on the outskirts of their city. Her simple peaceful life would be interrupted by tragedy, Sonia at 9 years old would lose her father, mugged and murdered during a late night shift at his job. It shook the already small family, leaving Sonia and her mother to run the small market the family owned. Her feelings of love and reliance on Soren grew all the stronger. Once again though she would get left behind, Soren being accepted into a prestigious academy, getting to live on campus to further his studies in healing and medicine. It took her two years of hard and constant studying, failing the entrance exams twice, before getting accepted to go to the academy as well. It was well worth it in her eyes, getting to be by Sorens side once again.
When it comes to Sentic abilities, Sonias are weak in comparison to most others around her. Her ability Easy Breezy, is a very basic control over wind. She's tried working on it for years, but as her ability stands right now, the most she can muster is creating a breeze to push someone over. Little does Sonia know though, she actually has a second Sentic skill, one that is just easy to mistake for nothing out of the ordinary. Her ability Lucky Day, gives Sonia incredibly powerful good luck. It's a hard skill to notice, but shines the best when she gambles.
Lucky Day actually helped her obtain the Cortia she now possesses. Her hobby at the academy is to gamble with other students during down time from studies. It was through a game of poker that Sonia won what she thought was just a cute hair clip. Cortias are government issued though, so you could say Sonia is in possession of this Cortia illegally. Lucky Day seems to have some unusual side effects for that level of luck, maybe it would be better to rename it Monkeys Paw.
