Neo's Links
"s-sometimes you gotta use modern means to source supplies, that's all i'm saying," Neo is in a huff. "August's reliable. i know i can trust him; i certainly cant argue that he knows his plants. and he has excellent taste in tea." ☆ It's hard to get Neo to admit he enjoys anyone's company, but he revels in his infrequent chances to get together with the quiet little guy and relax in his greenhouse to chat about their mutual passion.
"Who?" Neo bristles, "i have many unsavoury relatives. you'll have to be more specific. A-and-" he curses under his breath, "i'm not promising anything! I want nothing to do with them." ☆
Neo isn't familiar with Detroit, like much of his family, but they're blood relatives.
"Hm?...."
"Oh uh, he's a good kid." Neo scratches his head and glances away. "pleasant company. means well. deserves the best. he's got his whole life ahead of him and all that. o-oh, you meant his treatment-? um, confidential. i respect my patients' privacy." ☆
Neo will never cop to enjoying anyone's presence but Latch's visits are a comfort to him. Sometimes it's peaceful to shoot the shit about mundane problems and successes in a magical world.
"Honestly wouldn't know where I'd be if he hadn't offered to help me. I feel-I feel like I got part of my life back thanks to him." – Although initially frightened and apprehensive of the reclusive healer, Neo has since gained Latch's trust. Everything he's said made /sense/, and if Latch's slowly improving health wasn't any indicator that he was finally on the right track, what would be? He's since opened up to the older Spinxyn, happily chit chatting with him during his appointments about what he had for lunch the other day or showing him pictures of this unusual plant he found growing from a crack in the sidewalk.

a comfortable regular at Drysten's homely little B&B. it's a ways out from the marsh which makes it a perfect halfway point to stay for meeting with other witchery-inclined folks and some distant clients. Neo appreciates Drysten's similarly introverted demeanour and, while he doesnt necessarily consciously realize it, has a strong trust in the safety of Drysten and his establishment.
A 'curse doctor' they call him. I don't want that sort of business happening in my establishment, but... as long as he doesn't ask for my involvement, he may stay. It would be... bad. To lose one of my only regulars.
"He's a rough case." Neo scratches his head absent-mindedly. "Admittedly, a little out of my wheelhouse; I- I'm not versed in corruption, just curses. And gifts. But maybe it's..." he trails off, and waves a paw. "either way, he's responding well to treatment, and he's opened up a little. I think. He doesn't strike me as a particularly friendly guy even on a good day." ☆
Neo has somewhat inadvertently taken over Suilius' therapy, finding that his naturally-sourced magic remedies have had a better effect than his first solution with Beryl. He can't help but feel a little nervous around Suilius' authoritative air, though...
After their corruption, Trust is hard to come by. Maybe it was desperation instead that drove them to ask for Neo's help the first time. Though what lead them to stay might be a different story. "He's quiet enough, bloody competent with his brewing." Deep down they knows Neo's treatments won't *cure* him, it's corruption, not the common mold, yet... they find themselves meeting back up with him every time... "With enough scientific method he might find a way to properly sleep." They have unfortunately found a way to care, and Neo does worry them just a smidge the more he gets to know him. He doesn't need to know that though, not if Suilius has to leave someday.
