Babi's kid... he's..................................................................................................... loud. Like a kid should be.
Drysten is lots of fun. I can tell he’s sad, and wants to be left alone, but I caught him smiling at one of my jokes, once. So maybe he doesn’t like to be alone after all?
I don't think this world has been very... kind to her. But that isn't my story to know... and I don't think it's one she'd be willing to share, anyways. A hard worker. I wonder if running the inn might be easier with an extra set of paws after all...
The inn owner... his establishment is secluded and unassuming, bringing welcome relief during certain dire situations. The other patrons can be odd, but from what I can tell, harmless. The owner himself is quiet and not one to ask questions, which makes things easier for both of us. He accepts payment through assistance at the inn (luckily one of my strengths after my time at the dorms)...
Quiet. Mostly, he comes for the food. There's something... beautiful about the curses he bears. It's cruel, to be made a spectacle of... grotesque or not... so. I won't stare.
"A gem in the woods... An odd but relaxing place. The owner is pleasant enough. Does his job well." — Renaud is one of the regulars at Drysten's B&B. He never says much beyond giving his order and engaging in polite conversation, and he's probably requested for a room a couple of times and stayed over for a change of pace. Mostly, he goes for breakfast (at any time of day), and he ensures he leaves a nice tip at the end of his stay. He can sympathize with Drysten due to their rather... visible curses, but he'd never comment on it. He knows how it can be. Maybe he sees him as a kindred spirit of sorts. Who knows.
Very scared... like me, like if all my... feelings. Spilled out. All the time. It makes me feel a little bad for him... so I always give him extra pancakes when he takes them to-go...
"He makes the best pancakes Ever." — After stumbling into Drysten's B&B lost, Drysten's fine establishment quickly became one of Latch's favorite places to frequent outside the city. He can't go very often due to the distance, but whenever he does go, he makes sure to bring back a stack of pancakes for his parent. Truthfully, Drysten does intimidate him a bit, but he somehow feels like he can understand him... to an extent at least. He's very polite to the older cat and generally thinks well of him, especially after the initial help provided to point him back home.
Doesn't ever pay... but. The noise is nice, sometimes. When they aren't asking about my curse... I like when they tell stories of their travels. It makes me wish I weren't too afraid to leave the forest, sometimes... I'd like to see the floating islands, someday...
"HE DOESN'T TALK MUCH but that's okay!!! I can talk for both of us!!!!!!!! I do wonder sometimes if it's because I can't pay the bill in full tho :( Maybe one day I'll find some secret treasure and be able to pay it!!!! ...If I don't run out paying all of the other stuff I owe too,"
A 'curse doctor' they call him. I don't want that sort of business happening in my establishment, but... as long as he doesn't ask for my involvement, he may stay. It would be... bad. To lose one of my only regulars.

a comfortable regular at Drysten's homely little B&B. it's a ways out from the marsh which makes it a perfect halfway point to stay for meeting with other witchery-inclined folks and some distant clients. Neo appreciates Drysten's similarly introverted demeanour and, while he doesnt necessarily consciously realize it, has a strong trust in the safety of Drysten and his establishment.
Per Suilius's lack of being able to speak his feelings, they may never properly thank Drysten for all of the help and kindness he showed them. "A bed and breakfast in the middle of nowhere is extremely brave, but he's doing extremely well," is what they say, but what they feel is that of admiration. They looked to Drysten for guidance on living in nature, and with his patience they are able to move on their own. Luckily nowadays Suilius has their own house they can stay at, but they trust that should they need it, he will have a bed and warm food ready for them.... "If we could, might we take this to Drysten's place? I'd like to continue this over his masterful pancakes."
