Character Details
Sei Fujiya (藤谷 星, Fujiya Sei) is a character in the Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight franchise, original to Turn Away. She is a second-year student from the Stage Expression Course at Frontier School of Arts. She plays Eurydice in the Performance Festival production of Hadestown.
Sei is described as a rough-and-tumble tomboy, who regrettably gets cast as the damsel in distress due to her vocal range. She transferred from Seiran to Frontier a few months after the school year started. Sei has a short temper and doesn't get along well with people who like to tease her.
Sei has tan skin, long, curly blonde hair, and light indigo eyes. Sei always wears her hair up, usually in a ponytail. The bridge of her nose is always covered with a bandage, and there are usually bandages in various other places as well.
Her Frontier School of Arts uniform consists of a white button-up shirt, a purple tie, a burgundy blazer, a burgundy pleated skirt with gold trimmings, black knee socks, and brown loafers. Her casual outfit consists of a dark blue hoodie, a pale blue shirt with a cartoon fish, and beige shorts. Sei's practice outfit consists of a loose purple tank over black leggings.
Scrappy, hot-headed, and intimidating at first glance, Sei finds it difficult to make friends. She's always eager to pick a fight, though it's more cathartic than antagonistic.
Sei: "...It's scary. It's scary to know that I can do that, and that I couldn't stop myself."
When she was originally enrolled in Seiran, she befriended her roommate, Karin Kariya, and the two were inseperable up until Sei was expelled. Not wanting to burden Karin, Sei decided to refer to her absence as a "transfer," and the two drifted apart and became resentful of each other. Later, Sei would reveal that she was expelled for fighting a girl who was badmouthing Karin. Sei still bears a scar on her nose from the fight, which she covers with a bandage.
During her time at Seiran, she was generally typecast as damsels or other feminine roles due to her vocal range, such as Christine (The Phantom of the Opera), Andromeda (Andromeda), Eponine (Les Miserables), Rapunzel (Rapunzel), and Otohime (Tanabata). For the Performance Festival production of Swan Lake, Sei was cast as Carlita.
In elementary school, Sei's adult canine teeth and cowlick earned her the nickname "Sawa-Sei". This led to Sei developing insecurities about her teeth and hair, and she now keeps her hair long and pulled back to prevent her "shark fin" cowlick from popping up.
Family
As the first girl in her family, Sei was coddled and treated like a delicate object by her parents. Her brothers, however, shared the opposite sentiment, going so far as to, according to Sei, "use [her] as a football". She was often forced to go to choir as a child, where she developed a soprano vocal range. Sei generally does not get along with her parents.
Education
When Sei was in middle school, she took kendo lessons with Rui Akikaze under the guise of flower-arranging lessons at Rinmeikan. Once her parents realized what she was really doing, they forced her to stop.

- The name Sei means "star" (星) (sei). It can also be read as hoshi.
- Sei's surname Fujiya means "wisteria" (藤) (fuji) and "valley" (谷) (ya).
- Sei's astrological sign is Capricorn.
- Sei has two weapons– her bardiche and her hatchet make up Winds of Change.
- However, Sei herself was not aware of her hatchet until Revue of Mirrors.
- Sei is incredibly uncomfortable with honorifics. The only exceptions to this are the formal use of Fujiya-san and Ai's use of Sei-san, which Sei allows due to Ai's memory problems.
- Sei had prosopagnosia.
- Sei is dyslexic and struggles in literature classes. However, she has an affinity for math.
- Sei uses boku to refer to herself.
- Sei is one quarter Honduran and one quarter Swiss. Her father is fluent in Spanish, while Sei has an intermediate skill level.
