The resident stoner and plug of the neighborhood, Arnika knows everyone and anyone and manages to be the 'glue' to hold society together. He doesn't care much about concealing his presence, and anyone with a decent nose within 50 feet of him can tell. As such, one can usually find him riding around on his bike, making deliveries to some hive or another or 'hanging out' with his friends in the woods.
Astonishingly, even in such an awful world, almost everyone can agree that Arnika is a pretty great guy. He's a stand up samaritan who always looks out for his friends and makes sure that everyone is having a good time. Ever the peacemaker, Arnika is always the first one willing to mediate, even in situations where the risk is much higher than the reward. Sure he may be stoned all the time, but Arnika is a pretty stand-up guy. What can he say; it's in his nature!
Character
One thing you'll hear about Arnika is that he's exactly who he says he is. The question then becomes; just who is that? If you asked Arnika upfront, he'd laugh, tell you he's a stoner, obviously, and then ask you if you want a hit of whatever he's having. Arnika makes it plain for all to see that he's harmless and just here for a good time, and he's proven time and time again that his intentions are true.
It'd be easy to sum up Arnika's entire character as a srug habit and play it off for laughs, but he's a pretty great guy an that wouldn't do him proper justice. Though he's quite open about his usage, he's also made no secret that it helps him get through life in a way that's necessary. Arnika tries not to let his drugs define his life, but he will admit that it's pretty funny just how many of the sterotype boxes he ticks. All's well that ends well, and Arnika is never serious enough to be hurt by a joke.
Abilities
PERMASTONED - It's like it says in the title. Arnika is so permanently stoned all the goddamn time that it's pretty much impossible for him to become nonfunctional due to a cannabis overdosage. Congratulations on being so much of a stoner that you get a feat for it.
TWEAKING - Due to Anrika's permanent intoxicated state, he oftentimes isn't quite 'all there', at least to other people in his place of reference. Due to his habit, Arnika has a habit of breaking the fourth wall, often staring into invisible cameras or acknowledging text that no one else can see. It doesn't seem to bother him in his day-to-day life.
Notes
- Never not stoned, but also perfectly functional...?
- Could easily gain an inch or two if he stood up straight.
- Doesn't actually realize the cross on his necklace is a religious symbol. Thought it 'looked cool'.
- Arnika always seems to have just the right thing on hand for any situation imaginable in his bag.
- Seems to know everyone... but not many people know him back half as well.
Relationships
Nazcha Feriah [ Matesprit ]
Though no one would have guessed it when they first met, Nazcha and Arnika fit together like pieces of a puzzle. As a team they are greater than the sum of their parts and they cherish the bond they have with each other. A picture perfect matespriteship.
Valces Auteor [ Former Business Partner ]
Arnika and Valces used to work together at the start of Valces' manufacturing career. They split amicably due to differences in business ideals but still hang out together fairly often, even though they're now both occupied with their own businesses.
