- Small scruff mane (just around neck, doesn't extend down their chest)

Character Notes:
- Reclusive Roadkill Collector
- Not great at facial expressions (face is often completely blank because they forget to emote; other times they may show quiet interest or vague worry/discomfort)
- Often comes across as intimidating and creepy
- Is actually just a huge nerd with social anxiety
- Likes young kittens because there's less pressure to follow social rules around kids
- Works with bones at a bioarchaeology lab. The lab theoretically works mostly on ancient remains, but the team periodically gets roped into doing forensic work.
Arum shares Osseus' love for smelly gross stuff and the great outdoors, so they get along astonishingly well!
Arguably the only fellow adult that Osseus unhesitatingly calls a friend. Xena and Osseus relish in each other's quiet, fleeting company and have watched many sunrises together over the years.
Osseus has known Ebony since she was a little orphaned kitten and is always impressed by her knowledge of botany. They sometimes watch her while Xena sleeps.
Osseus delivered Kip and Kerr to their parents, Rayyan and Lufti, as cocoons. Now they've been named the kittens' "godparent," which they think is a meaningless title, but they appreciate that it gives them an excuse to take the youngsters out on nature walks. They love to hear Kip infodump about marine biology.
Kerr is harder for Osseus to relate to than Kip, but they do appreciate the sleepy kitten's quiet company.
Osseus appreciates that Rayyan doesn't try to make small talk at work. Osseus does mostly field work, but when they are in the lab, Rayyan mostly either gives Osseus their space or talks strictly about science to them, which has earned her their respect.
Lufti seems to think that because Osseus works for his partner and watches his kids sometimes, that means they should... bond? Osseus disagrees, but holds no ill-will towards Lufti. They just wish he would leave them... alone.
Lucas is... very loud, but Osseus tolerates his presence due to his sheer enthusiasm for BONES.
Osseus appreciates when 283 silently tags along as they take notes on bones or watch sunrises (and is happy to let him hide under their wings if his adoptive family is annoying him).
