Theme (None yet)
Aster appears as a mischievous and silly teen. He’s got a joyful smile and a pretty positive attitude in this cityscape of individuals with superpowers, living in his cheap yet comfortable apartment floor alone, with nothing much but video games and the internet to occupy most of his days.
But deep inside his cheerful attitude and crooked grin, lies a dark sadness and worry within his heart. He appears blessed with the superpower to grow and manipulate specific flora but seemingly cursed with the inability to control it. It has weaved him into a life of declining health and no control. A dark shadow that he passes by with a tired laugh, distracted by the mundanities of a comfortable life and brief peace given to him by special pills.
However, in the dark places of his mind, he still ponders; when will it end?

Aster is extremely extroverted, he loves to banter and act energetically around other people, becoming rather sociable, confident, and charismatic. Though he isn't always initially likable to everyone, at times he can appear brash, rude, or annoying, but people usually warm up to him eventually. He ends up as of those people who knows everyone else. While not particularly masculine he always ends up as 'one of the guys.' He's actually very kind, forgiving, and cheerful, and while he doesn't try to hide that side of himself it usually goes unnoticed except with his closest friends and family.
Aster is very serious when it comes to his work and passions. He's extremely productive and hard working when he wants to be, even at the cost of his mental health. He's one of those people who loves spending all night studying and reading. While he has the book-smarts and creativity, his brain will sometimes short-circuit when it comes to basic logic, causing him to make dozens of ideas that don't have grounds in reality. Luckily he's open to collaboration, so he's helped out by others.
On the flip side, he does very poorly alone. Kept too long away from others and his insecurities start to show. He gets stressed out easily and is much more nervous than people might expect. He shuts down when he becomes too stressed, no longer wanting to work and hoping the problem will work itself out, often resulting in more problems. Aster never really tells his problems to people, either because 'it's not the right time' or 'I don't want to bother them more.' Sometimes he can be very frustrating to deal with because he usually refuses to talk about his problems, changing the subject or asking them to 'chill out.' He has a knack for lying convincingly about information he knows.
Currently, he's extremely terrified of his situation, living alone scared of his own superpower and health. He constantly battles his idealistic optimism with his crushing dread, stress, and pessimism.

Plant Manipulation
Mental manipulation of 'deep forest' plants including mushrooms, lichen, moss, bark, vines, thorns (sometimes strange versions caused by radiation of any of the formentioned plants)-they can be grown over the body into a defensive mechanism, grow over others as suffocation or trapping, or using vines to jabs or whips opponents. His power is controlled by his mental and emotional abilties, despite manipulating something physical. Currently, his power is triggered by his fear and stress.Spore/Toxin Spread
Spread spores or exert dangerous toxin from grown plants (commonly mushrooms) into the air as poison, suffocation, or (in the case of plant spores) to grow new plants.Seeds!
Various plant seeds will appear from him. These plant seeds are not 'natural,' but more an extension of Aster's power, and can't be grown naturally/without his power's influence. The plants can grow insanely quickly to abnormal lengths, if given enough energy (but is very difficult to provide.)Nature's Barrier
Born with an invisible natural barrier against his own toxins and attacks. Even if his power has gone against himself, it won't do any damage against itself unless the barrier is broken. The barrier will usually heal and mend itself, but can take permanent damage.Limitations + Weaknesses
- Currently, with his own mental limitations or disease and emotional instability he can not control his power at all. They seem to spread, grow, act, defend, and attack on their own, but is only truly an extension of his own stress and fear.
- Although the plants he manipulate are an extension of his own power, they still cannot persist long without at least given basic nutrients. If desperate and out of control, it will try to latch onto Aster's own body for nutrients by growing into him. This will only work if his natural barrier is damaged; is only a temporary solution, as fatiguing Aster will only go so far before the power wears off, and somewhat fortunately, Aster will always pass out quite fast before he has to experience most of it.
- The plants must grow from a surface, which is why severing one causes it to instantly die
- His barrier can be damaged, even permanently. This would result in him slowly getting poisoned and suffocated, while plants begin to grow into his body. Luckily, this is very difficult to achieve.
- Generally weaker in sunny, hot, or dry weather/environment. The opposites will strengthen the power.
Fighting Pattern
Extra Notes
- While his plants seem to go against him, they want to keep him alive, and will never kill him. They are only act uncontrollably as a personification of Aster's despertate attempts to protect himself or at least won't completely destroy him on the idea of 'he's the only thing keeping us aive.'
- After plants exhaust him , he usually wakes up an hour to a day later feeling extremely exhausted and hungry
- His original power was basic plant growth, but got developed into deep-plant growth from generating his power from fear (which lead to a mental power disease)
- He eats specially crafted pills in order to weaken/dampen his power. While they do work, they have the unintended hidden side effect of weakening his natural barrier, inadvertently powering his mental disease.

Bag [ USELESS ]
Doesn't have anything too useful-probably includes a few video games and a pair of headphones.
Societal
OPINION
Heroes
Aster has mixed feelings about the Heroes. He tries to respect them seemingly protecting everyone, as well as finding their stunts pretty entertaining, but ever since his friend Jackal has gotten into the hero industry he's worried that some of it is a little shady. His friend seems to have changed too much since joining them, but Aster is mainly afraid that he's got himself into something really serious. Plus the heroes organisations haven't helped at all with... his superpower situation.
When he was younger-like many other kids-thought they were super exciting and cool. He grew out of that phase, but generally respected them.
OPINION
Villains
Much like the public consensus, Aster finds villains to be horrible convicts, especially how they take advantage of their superpowers to commit crimes. Though he mainly gets his facts from Jackal, so most of it is biased against them anyways.
He never really thought he'd personally be terrorized or meet one, so he was never too afraid. That was until he met Cole-who works for villains as a scientist. He was terrified at first, but it doesn't seem like Cole is much into them either.
OPINION
Neutrals/Citizens
Doesn't have a particular opinion on citizens, they're just other people after all. Haven't been worried much about people who stay neutral either.
Characters
Cole Wit
Cole and Aster have a strange business deal. Cole will provide Aster with pills that can weaken his uncontrollable powers, in return for letting them research his powers and a some money. A scientist and her lab rat. Aster tries not to think too hard about this, he's pretty desperate, so he's just glad he has something to help him, even if Cole works for villains as well. And Cole... doesn't seem bad at heart.
Aster mostly finds Cole very sad. At first, Aster found Cole very threatening and serious, yet sort of intriguing at times. As he continued to observe the scientist, he realized just how lonely and regretful Cole seemed to be, just like himself, and just like himself in need of a friend. He's tried his best at causal friendliness, but so far Cole has just rejected them, so he tries not to push it too much.
Jackal Fletcher
To Aster, Jackal's current state is… worrying. He knows that his friend is filled with burdens, but he feels he can't do anything to help them. Trying to cheer him up the only ways he knows how only seems to make it worse, so he sees it’s better to just leave him alone.
Aster knows that his friend has changed too much since joining the hero organization, becoming distant and far over his head. Aster's not sure now how Jackal sees him, but he knows better than to give up on his friend, especially since he knows that Jackal doesn't seem to have many other genuine relationships. Whenever Jackal visits, he tries his best to act like his old self and pretend nothing is wrong.

Character Trivia
- He LOVES the sky, especially at night, interested in meteorology, astronomy, astrophysics, general geography, he likes looking at it from a scientific viewpoint rather than just aesthetically (but he still does just stare at the beauty of space sometimes even though it might not seem so), he's actually really smart at it and will talk about his ideas nonstop if people ask, mainly because no one does.
- Wants to become a professional astronomer when he grows up, currently he does it for fun
- He's pretty skilled in general musical theory, piano, guitar and his favorite-ukulele, he wanted to buy an otamatone for the memes but never did
- He likes video games a lot, mostly fighter games, he'd play them a lot with his friends but he mostly won, he still plays them sometimes but he's bored of getting stuck with nothing but them
- Likes listening to podcasts and music, especially when he's lonely to distract himself from the silence
- He likes apples, peaches, and cherries, just a coincidence their all small red fruit for some reason
- He's not a giant foodie, but he'll still steal all the food because he can
- His favorite season is autumn, just because he thinks it's neat, refreshing and even nostalgic
Design Trivia
- Aster's character has always about someone who couldn't control their power, but he was originally a lot edgier character in my head. The image I had was a guy sit back against the wall with poison coming out his mouth while he contemplates his terrible situation or whatnot. Sorta got his concept from the webcomic Inhibit
- He wasn't always going to be mice themed, but it seemed so perfect once I noticed it!
- I had a harder time thinking of what his power would be, other then it had to be uncontrollable. Some ideas I had were sensory overload, literal radiation, space/sun, weather, and monster
- Use to think his personality was just too Sans Undertale. Still a little bit, but don't think too hard about it :'D
