Ger'Ar Vylko's Links
Ger'Ar, against his better judgment, has become rather attached to Nun despite their limited interactions. But each time he's been around the guy, he finds himself letting his guard down a little. Their in-person interactions have all been quite similar to each other, with Ger not having much regard for the situation outside of Nun and the others present. He's confused as to why, wanting to more-so understand the effect Nun has on him rather than think too deeply about it.
User Ger'Ar is confusing for the Dual entity, though when offline, they find great comfort on the alpheans presence. He wishes to help them when available and is going through extensive reseatch to understand why the mob boss is so... sad.
Ger'Ar views Wiz as an extremely important part of his operations. If anyone were to ask, that's where it ends. She helps him with his work, he entertains her silly, out-of-touch questions in return and that's that. But there have been many times that he finds himself with her hanging around asking those questions outside of work-related matters, and it's mostly because her company is some of the only kind that makes any sense to him. She says what she means, even if it's outlandish, there's no guessing here.
Wiz and Ger’Ar have an amicable working relationship where Wiz helps with clean up after messy work and is part of the gossip chain. Wiz considers them friends and often sends Ger’Ar jokes and asks him silly questions because he doesn’t laugh at her (not to her face anyways)!
A waste of Ger'Ar's fucking time, is what he was. The shark would be happy not to see him again, even in a professional setting. Make a fool out of him, why don't you. Unbelievable how he didn't get *anything* of use from his interactions with him.
He ‘ s so much . I mean that in the best way possible . I knew some could ‘ ve had their doubts , but they were wrong . He ‘ s a good man , and I don ‘ t think there ‘ s much that can change that for me . Seeing him , seeing him in . . . much different attitudes , compared to chat . .
I trust him . I trust him with every fiber of my being . Just as same as others , maybe even more so , I would do anything to help him . Though it seems he ' s gotten busy as of recent . . . can ' t blame him when you know what his job is ,
Arata is a curious case for Ger'Ar. He certainly never expected to befriend anyone new outside his line of work, but that seems to be exactly what happened here. At first, anyway. Nowadays it seems instead that the two are neck-deep in the same shit, but that allows some commonality between them. And throughout the thick of it all, Arata never once held anything over his head. He respects them for that. When things get to be too much for either of them, he knows that a simple meet-up with the professor will be enough to help him get his head on straight again. It's nice to have a proper friend that doesn't have familial ties, sometimes they're easier to talk to about everything because of that.
The professor has always seen Ger'Ar as a friend, ever since he let them stay at his place for some days afte some rather traumatizing events. Now working as his therapist, Arata is getting to know more of him and they would have never expected how similar the two of them are. After all that has been going on they know that they can relly on Ger to just have some peace and quiet for a while, it's those little moments with him which Arata appreciates the most.
Manami is one of the few people who knows Ger'Ar from his younger years, and quite possibly is the only one that he still speaks to on good terms. He knows his sister doesn't approve of what he does, but on some level is thankful that she accepts *him* regardless of it. He'd kept his distance for a long while, simply out of concern that if he were seen with her it'd put her in danger. Over those years however, he'd grown to miss her too much, and so now carefully swings by when he's able to spend some much needed time catching up with her. They get up to all sorts of shenanigans together, from Nami using him as a test dummy for drinks to simply wrestling on the beach, or seeing who can make the biggest bubble with their tail (it's still Nami), his time spent with her is something that reminds him that he is, in fact, cared for. He hopes that she knows even through his taunting and teasing how much he cares for her too, and that he'd come running if she ever called.
Manami cares a FUCK ton about Ger. She’s watched him grow up, taught him the ropes of hybrid life, seen him make mistakes, but stands by him always and forever. She doesn’t always agree with the Ger's desicions, but still cares for him like a little brother, nothing can ever change that. If anyone ever hurts Ger'Ar she is sure to hold a grudge about them for a lifetime. Due to his line of work she can't really go through the whole "I'll hurt them back" physically shtick. But when having authority over a large area of land like a Shore, if that person ever tries any deals, Manami will ensure the deal does not go through.
Altough Ger is busy, and so is Manami, they now try to meet as regularly as they can considering their lines of work for drinks, and just catching up with one other. It's not suprising to see Manami after a hard day at work napping on Ger's tail, and if Ger has had a tough day to see him and her taking a fat nap on the water. Ger’Ar would be the first to know if Manami was in trouble.
Ger'Ar finds Lea's company rather enjoyable, as none of the questions she asks ever feel judgemental to him. Her rambles often give him a reason to take a quick break from paperwork or blueprinting, and he's come to love listening to her theories and solutions to certain things. He may not understand all of what she speaks about, but he does his best to follow along regardless. It's always a welcome surprise when she comes to visit, as her optimism is often contagious and tends to make him smile. Sometimes, he'll ask her to play some of her new music for him, having made a deal to sing something for her in return when she does. It keeps him from letting his voice get rusty, and so long as she doesn't tell too many people about it, he's happy to learn new songs to sing for her that he thinks she might enjoy.
Lea enjoys the Shark’s company quite a bit! Lea as an entity has a very grey moral compass, and cares not for what Ger’Ar does as a career, since Ger’Ar shows that he still does care for others.
She enjoys rambling to him, and seeing his struggle with technology is eager to help him learn, and be secure online. She also enjoys showing Ger’ar bits and pieces of her music, in exchange for some of his gentle singing.
Ger'Ar needs a lot of materials to run his crime ring, and Ajax is the main supplier. The shark isn't fully aware of this fact, however, which.. May or may not be a good thing.
CEO Sennato is deeply amused by the reef shark, mostly because he was part of his little side experiment to check how far he can push the ropes of change without being actively involved. Now Ajax is a bit on the annoyed side due to GerArs actions. They dont like people messing with their goals.
Hiroto has for the most part been a "sure, I guess" for Ger'Ar. Though he does find some annoyance in how damn observant the little guy is. Most people can't see through his disguises, but apparently the drummer has more to him than meets the eye too.
Man is he glad he never fully let go of his gut feeling about this guy. The others don't know, Hiro doesn't think so at least, but Ger'Ar never had any sincere intentions with them. He's just told them to steer clear for now. He can't avoid him entirely because of his job, and seeing him around so often lately has been... Complicated, to say the least. He doesn't really trust this version of Vylko, either.
No better than their husband. Maybe even worse. "Old man"? Really?? And he played along with that thinking that SOMETHING of value would have come from it. Lesson learned, he supposes. Stick to the intimidation, it yields better results.
Y’know. Following along with Tabi was a good choice for this. I mean sure, could’ve done a lot of other things, spent time in other places but. Shit man. I care about the old man. Knew the asshole had more to him than ‘terrifying’. You tend to realize that kinda shit once you know a person. Tabs is just… a lot quicker about it than anyone else.
… I know. it’s not that. but it is. kinda. old man, as much as he is, kinda fills a slot I’ve forgotten I’ve had missing.
Though. Where the fuck has the guy been, and what's with the sudden leaving of the GC? Hiro says it ain't nothing but im not buying it 100%.
Ger'Ar is a bit too familiar with Dustin at this point. While their run-ins have been few and far between, they always seem to be intense. They first met several decades ago, he remembers that now. He remembers what happened. And with their most recent meeting having been... More or less same shit, different font, his opinion of the bear hasn't changed much. He's really not cut out for this line of work.
he knows. he knows and he hopes to stay away, as far as he can.
Of all fucking people to be in that stupid LB chat, this guy had to be there. Of course. Of course he did- Ger'Ar can't escape him, it seems. One surefire way to set off the mob boss' remnants of an explosive temper in record time is to pry about the other shark. Their history is extensive, reaching back to when they were both young, but it's safe to say that they don't have the highest opinion of each other at this point. To put it lightly, Rotui's presence is always, ALWAYS overbearing for him. So long as they don't talk directly, *personally,* things should be... Fine. But for the most part? Keep these sharks in their own tanks. They don't play nice.
Even the mentioning of this guy's name pisses Rotui the hell off. There's no words to describe how double crossed he felt when he found out that not only was Ger'Ar the leader of a crime ring, he had been one of the main polluters Rotui's spent the greater half of his life cleaning up after. Every. Single. Request. By ANYONE to chill tf out about the guy just- OUGH it pisses him off more. Pity the fuckin purple one, sure. He'll keep professional when he needs to. But come a time that Rotui doesn't end up owing him anything, and they're alone? Let's just hope Ger'Ar doesn't attempt to get close again.
Ger'Ar was CONVINCED that Mo was not a real person, seeing as the only time he'd actually spotted the guy it was either out of the corner of his eye, or after days without sleep. Needless to say, seeing Mo in the chats scared the SHIT out of the Reef Shark for a moment. Since then, you'd be hard pressed to find Ger'Ar without at least 3 guns on him. Big ones. You know... Just in case.
The only time Ger'Ar met Willow, she held him a knife to his throat and threatened to dispose of him in a Highly Unpleasant manner. He doesn't have strong opinions about her one way or the other though, she's just. Another civilian, at the end of the day.
Willow met Ger’Ar when he wandered into her cottage and she threatened to kill him painfully. She feels a little bad about it but refuses to apologise, instead imparting him with “nuggets of wisdom” and occasionally sending him baked goods.
Ger'Ar doesn't have much to say about Victor, in all honesty. He's a bit firey, he supposes, but there isn't much outside of that.
Victor thinks Ger’Ar could be a useful ally and appreciates his candor in rough situations. He decided he’d lend a hand whenever Ger’Ar needs one.
Ger'Ar has nothing but respect for Orochi at this rate. Meeting him at one of Juan's rotation parties and getting along 'swimmingly' with the other mafioso, he also found a bit more understanding with the dragon. Outside of business, he thinks the lead of the Aoki estate is rather enjoyable company, though he isn't sure how long that might last. At the very least, he can hope it will be a while still.
One more of Zhou's dogs. He has heard of the reef shark because of passing and maybe complaints from the professor. He went in wanting to hate the guy but couldn't bring himself to because of their similarities in life choices. Because of this he doesn't wish to bring down the hand of diamond upon him. Thankfully if he behaves well enough, the shark might even find a friend in him.
He met Clover in a rather calm environment, same as Orochi. While they were civil during that time, he's much less certain on where he stands with the doctor. He tried to get a read on them, but with their unchanging expression it makes it a tad bit difficult. He supposes it's the same as what he does, their own version of a poker face. No one can tell what you're thinking if your expression never changes.
Clover is hesitant when it comes to Ger'Ar. Knowing his past and even some current actions of his mean they aren't all too fond of the shark. Not yet, anyway. He still has some work to do in proving that he's on their side of things, in their eyes. They trust Orochi in his decision not to be harsh on the Reef Shark, but they aren't so sure they can befriend him the same way their leader has. Time will tell, they suppose.
