Fisher is one of Alex and River's Triplets. He is an identical twin with Hunter and a fraternal sibling to Thatcher. Fisher might look like a near copy of Hunter, but he isn't nearly as carefree or energetic as his twin. He is far more calculating and cautious than his brothers and usually is the voice of reason and the one who reigns them in whenever things might go off the rails.
Fisher is a little bit of a clean freak and it's clear where he has been in contrast where Hunter and Thatcher have been. He does occationally give caution to the wind to play like his brothers, but he's much happier doing puzzles or quietly playing than he is climbing trees or getting muddy.
Fisher is closest to his dad than anyone else in the family. He can be very serious for a 10 year old.
Kill Joy: Fisher has a one in three chance of managing to convince Hunter and Thatcher from doing something fun but dangerous. If he cannot convince them, he will stand back and watch, reading to call their parents in case something bad happens.
A Little Detective: Fisher is adept at puzzles and figuring out patterns. He often enjoys playing games where he has to solve things and he uses these skills to both help, and sometimes hinder, his brothers in finding something they've lost.
String Theory: Fisher has an inate ability to find things with just the barest of information on what is lost. He manages to follow strings that no one else can really see and has on more than one occasion proven to be quite good in many situations.
Fisher looks like a little kid because he is. He does come off as a grumpy kid though, due to him being more cautious than his twin or their other clutch mate. He is quiet, thoughtful, and sometimes a little bit self righteous, but he is also caring and loves his family a lot.
Fisher
Fisher, Hunter, and Thatcher picked their names from the books they were brooded on. This is how bookworms nest their eggs and that's how bookworms get their names. The books in the pile that the three they were clutched on were books about midieval occupations. A little bit of mischeif went into them picking their names, too.
When they were younger, the three of them were pretty much very similar to one another. As they got older, Fisher developed a personality of being very cautious and weary. He started being the voice of reason with his brothers and even sometimes the holder of the brain cells. Still, he is a child and sometimes he is very childish. It can't be held against him when he is.
Fisher is very close to his dad. He loves his mom a lot too, but sometimes feels like she's very loud and exhausting when he needs time for quiet. He also misses his sister, Marion, whenever she's away. He paints his and family's finger nails when she's gone because it reminds him of her.
Sometimes, Fisher will go "missing," only to be found at the shop, in the family library, or hanging out in the gardens of the Warlock Finishing School. Sometimes he needs time away from all the energy and noise of his family.
The Triplets and the "Incident"
Fisher, Hunter, and Thatcher are all homeschooled. This is because when they were in the first grade, Thatcher and Hunter caused a minor explosion and got expelled. Fisher had been in a different class due to the teachers assuming that the twins of the triplets would be more chaotic together than one of the twins and the other member of the triplet. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Fisher stayed in school, but he missed his brothers and asked his parents if he could join them in homeschooling. River was more than happy to keep all three of them home to teach.
This lead to River and a few other members of the community starting a homeschool co-op. The homeschooling has been really good for the triplets.
- Fisher sometimes dresses in dresses. He likes how skirts swish.
- Fisher likes being curled up with a book more than getting dirty. However, he loves painting just about anything.
- Fisher is an introvert. He is also not very good at expressing his emotions.
- Fisher doesn't like messes and will sometimes clean up after his brothers.
- Hunter and Thatcher always include Fisher in their adventures. They also respect when he doesn't want to.
- Fisher loves playing crime games. He talks on and on about how he wants to be a detective some day.
Hunter Starling • Twin
Fisher and Hunter are identical for the most part. At least in appearance. Hunter is far less cautious as Fisher is. Fisher is sometimes exasperated by Hunter. However, they spend a lot of time together. If either goes too long without one another, they both get really sad.
Thatcher Starling • Brother
Fisher is close to Thatcher, but not as close as Hunter is to Thatcher. Thatcher can be a one boy hype squad for anyone and everything and sometimes that's too much for Fisher. However, the two do spend a lot of time together.
River Starling • Father
Fisher is very close to his dad. They two have little dates where the two of them spend an afternoon solving who-done-it type puzzle games together. Fisher loves hanging out with his dad.
Galaxia "Alex" Starling • Mother
Fisher loves his mom, but she is a lot. He does enjoy a cuddle or to be up on her shoulders.
Lance Starling • Big Brother
Lance is Fisher's big brother. He looks up to him and thinks he's really cool. He likes to hang out with Lance at the shop whenever he's feeling overwhelmed. Lance is a safe space for Fisher.
Marion Starling • Big Sister
As much as Fisher loves Lance, he absolutely adores Marion. He thinks it's so cool that she's going and seeing the world. He misses painting his nails with her or playing dress up. When she's home, Fisher is next to her most of the time.
Matthew Salano • Other Big Brother
Matt is just the triplet's bonus big brother. He spends a lot of time with them, wrestling with them, playing games, or just chilling with them. Fisher doesn't hang out with him as often as the other two do, but he does hang out.
Rosana Salano • Mother 2
Fisher loves cooking with Rosanna. For his whole life he has known her as his parent's datemate and he sometimes calls her momma. Rose usually smiles warmly at that and gives him a cuddle. He loves her a lot.
