Charles Dean Evergold

Through his whole childhood, he lived in a household ruled by an abusive father. Every night, his father's drunken tirades and sobbing mother kept him up at night and the memories continue to keep him up to this day. He took up self defense classes in fourth grade, to not only avoid being home as much as possible, but also use his skills one day to beat up his dad and save his mom. He befriended Kravice through these self defense classes and to this day they're still good friends, he even helped save Kravice through his whole viral debacle in high school.

Sometime through fifth grade, his mother told him that he will be having a baby sister soon, and he was excited, but also terrified. Now he has to protect his mom and his little sister from their father. He took self defense seriously and considered, "Maybe I should look up combat classes, so I don't have to wait for dad to go on a rampage before I do something about it."

A few weeks later, his mother didn't pick him up from his self defense classes. His instructor took him to his house and found the garage door open and his dad's car gone. He ran inside and found his mother on the floor. His instructor called the police and his house wrapped in yellow tape. Sitting on the sidewalk in front of his neighbor's yard, his instructor rubbing his back, and red and blue lights illuminate the whole street. Barely deciphering the static through the police radio, "--he could be th----------unk driving accident-------Briton--one dead, three injured."

"One dead. I hope it's him." Charlie hoped it was his dad who was the one who died in the car accident he heard over the radio.

However, 

it was Eli's dad who died in that accident.

• Charlie is very persistent on fixing things himself, even if he doesn't know how an air conditioner works.
• He can't sleep at night because he can always hear his father's yelling.
• He has a short and destructive temper and his tantrums get himself hurt at times.
• Charlie works at the convenience store just a few blocks down from his apartment with his friend Asphodel.
• He has the primal urge to protect those who can't protect themselves.
• Despite not showing up to class much, he's very good at Mathematics and English.
• He looks much older than he is that he doesn't even get ID'd when he goes to clubs.
• He enjoys stupid puns and loves dogs.
