An MSX2 "soldier" (david says he claims to be one)/personal bodyguard to a certain PC-8801 at times, David is what you'd expect of a home computer his standard. Using floppy disks that have weapon/equipment data stored onto them that can be read/loaded via the disk readers on hips, he's able to come prepared at any given moment.

Despite his stoic look at first, he's quite emotional for someone his type. Sure, he tries to cover up the fact that being shot at and/or wounded doesn't affect him in the slightest and bottles his feelings up, but it's only when he's in private that the bottle explodes and all his feelings come pouring out... David still tries to keep himself up despite all of this, and tries his best at defending those who need his protection, especially to Gillian, and would go as far as almost fatally wounding himself if it meant keeping them in one piece.

A special characteristic that David has is the ability to freely change his legs into digitgrade legs, and back to his regular legs. While his digitgrade legs give him an advantage in running faster, it doesn't fare too well when it comes to holding up his weight over the course of several hours, and there's always a metallic ring to his footsteps when he walks? That's odd. Also, running while he's holding someone/piggybacking them varies by mileage, but don't expect him to last long enough to not collapse on the spot after he's done...

That, and it's assumed his bodyguard relationship with Gillian may be more than what meets the eye at first, though David just finds it odd that Gillian clings onto him like glue in private.
