Vole was much, much less mysterious than his older brother Mousie. He actually stays with his mother Nalia quite a bit more since he isn't a Diodato kid, and is at less risk of being acknowledged by Lenny.
Though he still doesn't know Vole exists.

Aurum is a bit more crass than Mousie, and was meant to believe that Ferdinand was his father up until he turned thirteen. Unfortunately, he's too smart for his own good, and learned that his father was actually Otto Winters.
Thanks to his dear ol' dad. He was born with a valve defect in his heart, and develops cancer in his foot bones later in life. His health is otherwise decent.

The kid absolutely adores his mother and two siblings, but is frankly weary of his biological father. He commonly refers to him as 'jackass' but never any more than jokingly.
His favorite animals are snakes, and hoh does he love boa constrictors.
