Reighan

Garanzo's right hand demon.

Reighan is the Fire Lord's silver tongue, he translates what his master may be too 'busy' to say to his subjects, and he knows just what words to spin to avoid getting himself (and sometimes others) slaughtered mercilessly by his king.

Garanzo finds his voice and words to be somewhat soothing, and can aid in calming him down when the fire lord is in a dangerous mood. As Garanzo's 'go to guy' for anything and everything, he is also chief of the castle's staff. All Reighan's words are chosen carefully and with purpose, for any mistake may be his, or another's last.

----

Syvern and Reighan:

Reighan is responsible for Syvern (otherwise known as 'Char')'s unfortunate situation with Garanzo. Reighan was the one who discovered Syvern and 'introduced' him to the Fire Lord (who became positively 'love struck' by him). As such, Syvern detests Reighan with all his passion, and is at the silver tongue's throat every chance he gets. Reighan on the other hand, adores Syvern's presence with the king, because when Syvern is around, Garanzo is extremely more tolerable and less likely to destroy his servants and cause misery among his people.

The day Syvern escaped Hell was a grim one indeed. Garanzo has been far more irritable than he's ever been before, and it's a constant struggle to stay alive in his fiery tempered presence. Reighan is stressed to 'high hell', and does his best to stay out of the fire's way, while also doing everything in his power to keep the castle staff safe from harm as well. He prays for the day that Syvern returns to his king, thus restoring 'peace' that the castle once knew, and longs for still.

Before Everything

- Reighan used to be part of a gang/Hell mafia, long before he worked for Garanzo in the desert.

- He was a friendly 'adviser' to the idiot in charge of the whole organization, as it was easy to control the leader, with Reighan's silver tongue words, suggestions and encouragements.

- His ambitions got the better of him however, having the mafia pursue an object for his own gains - a Portal stone, (quite possibly the last one in existence), which would allow him to leave behind the Hell realm forever. Where he could live as a god among humans in the life realms!

- Garanzo, being a guardian of these portals, and keeping demons within the Hell Realm, was also in pursuit of this stone, unbeknownst to Reighan at the time.

- Reighan 'employed' the talents of Zekiel (an enchanter whose very presence strengthened those around him), to 'oversee' a trade between two rival gangs.

- Having Zekiel's enchantment pinpointed solely to Reighan (with the facade that it was actually for the mafia leader instead), so that Reighan could smooth talk his way successfully through the trade. (The portal stone, being one of the items offered in the exchange) Reighan would talk his way straight out of Hell, so to speak. He came so close to succeeding...

- During this trade off, Garanzo and his minions crash the party, hunting for the stone. The item was lost during the fray, but a new 'friendship' was born- Reighan, doing his best to navigate himself verbally out of danger, by charming the Fire Lord with pretty words and promises. Garanzo is no fool, and though Reighan's words managed to spare his life, they do not separate him from the doom entirely. Garanzo takes an interest in Reighan's ability to oversee and manage the mafia's organization single handedly, all from behind the scenes. Seeing the missing stone as a lost cause (Hell is a pretty large place, after all), he's confident no one will ever find it now~ The king takes Reighan back with him to his castle in the Desert, appointing him the head of his servant staff and managing all of Garanzo's affairs henceforth. Reighan has worked for Garanzo ever since.

Extra

Extra Info:

- Reighan is very delicate. He is not a quick healer, and even the slightest touch may leave a bruise upon his skin or quite possibly break his bones. Surprisingly enough, Garanzo really holds back from rough handling Reighan, which is more to say than the rest of the castle staff and any other poor soul that enters the Fire Lord's presence. Garanzo values how Reighan handles everything/others, and knows that he could easily break the demon in two, should he be too violent with him. Garanzo may be a brutish demon, but he's got restraint where it matters, despite what the rest of the public thinks. Reighan is oh so very thankful for this...
