Chitose

❥ PERSONALITY

Chitose is a very high energy and rowdy girl. She does have enough self control to not let herself get too out of hand... when she wants to that is at least, but just about any other time you'll usually find her being obnoxious. She's well known for playfully teasing others, even if you don't really know her that well. That's just how she expresses friendliness, however she does her best not to take it far enough for it to be genuinely offensive. If you let her know it bothers you too she'll be sure she holds back. If you're closer friends with her she can also be a little rough too in the sense she'll playfully shove and push her friends around a lot and isn't afraid of touching others, but again if it really does bother you or she gets carried away and actually hurts you she'll tone it down. She sometimes underestimates her strength and power but genuinely she doesn't want to actually harm anyone.

Chitose is also extremely hardworking and is especially so when it comes to things she's passionate about. Once she has a goal set or an end she needs to reach she will put every ounce of energy into accomplishing it. She's very headstrong about things to the point where you really have to remind her to take it easy sometimes so she doesn't end up hurting herself either. She can be stubborn when told to rest or take a break in getting to where she needs to be but if you can reason with her well enough, or more effectively bribe her, she can eventually be coaxed into giving it a rest. Although a headstrong go-getter she does get discouraged at times, especially when her efforts and hard work don't really seem like they're being recognized. Most of the time she bounds back pretty quickly though and if anything it pushes her to work even harder to reach whatever she's aiming for!

❥ CHILDHOOD

Chitose was born into a home with her mother, father, and older sister. From a very young age Chitose enjoyed performing and being the center of attention, and it was something she was always fighting really hard for since the beginning as well. Chitose's older sister was nearly a polar opposite of her, she was a very serious girl that focused only on studies and while they shared the same determination to reach their goals, her sister's were more academic. She was always at the top of her classes and wanted to be a scientist or mathmatician when she grew up and was well on her way to achieving that. But because of this Chitose was always living in her shadow, her parents aways wondered and asked her why she couldn't be doing as well in school as she was and compared the two of them often. It wasn't like Chitose was bad at school either, she was just more gifted aethletically so she put more of her energy into dance or sports. Particularly baton which she has taken from middle school on.

For the most part though Chitose's childhood was a fairly comfortable and simple one. She went to school, participated in sports, hung out with friends, everything your average kid would do. So aside from trying to impress her parents life was pretty good.

❥ ADOLESCENCE

Once she got into high school though the pressure to be more like her sister only increased though. That was a time for preparing for college so of course her parents wanted her to start taking her studies even more seriously than she already was. High school was also the period in her life that Chitose started getting into pop-idols as well. Living in the city she'd been surrounded by them all her life but she just had never gotten that into them until she was browsing the internet for some ideas for dance covers. Her search brought her to one particular idol group that she absolutely fell in love with! To this day she still considers them to be her top favorite and even looks up to one of the members as her biggest role models, but that event sparked her branching out and looking into other groups, solo idols, different franchises, you name it! Reading up on idols quickly consumed her and she wanted to get to know and listen to as many as she possibly could!

Their songs really made her happy with all the surrounding pressure to be better from her parents and doing covers of their cute and energetic dances was always a lot of fun and a good form of stress relief for her. As mentioned before she was already really into dance and did baton so this just spiked her passion for it and performing more, causing academics then to be pushed even further to the side. This dissappointed her parents more and while it hurt Chitose to have her parents look down at her for it, she wasn't ready to give in and study her life away like her sister either. Chitose knew that wasn't her path, so she started to pour more and more of her energy into baton and dance in hopes that she could impress them in the things she was good at and passionate about.

This sadly wasn't working out all that well at first but as always Chitose refused to give up. Her passion was strong enough that Chitose decided she was going to have her heart set on being an idol, and hopefully too once she was making it big her parents would be more proud of her. She kept an eye out for any auditions in the area that she could, and even tried out for a handful of them only to be rejected. By now we know she doesn't give up so after each one she'd just pick herself back up and better herself for the next one. Evenutally there was an audition being held for a new idol group to fill a concept one of the companies in the area was looking to create. Although small, the company was still known for treating their idols really well as opposed to the bigger ones. Not to mention Chitose was desperate enough to grab at anything she could, so she went for it.

She did her best to put all of her energy and passion into this audition and when she was finished she could see the judges struggling to hide their impressed expressions, and that alone being a different reaction than what she had recieved prior at the other auditions she took that as a good sign and held on to the hope that would land her in. This made the next week or so AGONIZING as she waiting to hear back what her results were, but when they did she had to reread the paper at least 50 times because she couldn't believe it. She had made it in!!!! Not only that but she was the ONLY person from that audition to have made it in!

When she told her parents about it they were happy enough to congratulate her but aside from that they really did make too much of a fuss about it. Chitose was still hoping she'd change their minds in the future but regarless within the next few days she started as a trainee and continued to work towards her plan. Training was definitely intense, but Chitose didn't mind since she knew it was all going to help her make it to the top. But it was definitely something she still had to adjust to at least. The other girls that would be a part of her future group were really nice as well, and Chitose found out that all of them had made it in just for being scouted from popularity and talent they all already had. This intimidated her a little but also gave her confidence that she must be good then if she was the only one who made it in through pure effort.

Training continued on until the group finally debuted under the name STARSHIP✦MATSURI, each girl having their own space-themed character/role they took on. Chitose being assigned mint green and given the role of an alien. Right from the start Chitose had very very... very little popularity. The other girls already had followings from their previous careers and hobbies that just transfered over, but colors were also a very important thing for idols and well... unfortunately green idols were rarely ever at the top. Even with Chitose helping to improve their choreography and even becoming the main part of CREATING it, she still went mostly ignored.

❥ TRIVIAS & FACTS

❥ MASON

Best Friend/Magical Team Partner - Chitose and Mason are about as close as friends can get. They're around each other almost constantly and luckily the general public just assumes they're close childhood friends so it doesn't mess with Chitose's image at all. I mean they might as well be though, the two are inseparable and are often seen goofing off and picking on one another. They did try dating for a little while but realized that was just kinda weird and didn't feel right so they went back to just being extremely close friends like nothing changed. Chitose does like to tease Mason by saying how good of a s/o they'd make to someone else though when the opportunity arises.

❥ NINE

Friend - Nine and Chitose are idol/performer buddies!! They met at a music festival they both were performing at and sometimes do collabs together now! Chitose thinks he's really fun and he's got the same energy as her. Luckily Mason is USUALLY there to keep them both a little under control. Nine is also one of Chitose's biggest fans and is really supportive of her and while she might just thank him by punching him, she does really appreciate and treasure that.
