After STARSHIP✦MATSURI's one year anniversary concert had ended, Chitose followed the rest of the girls backstage to be greeted by surprise gifts left by their fans as congratulations. Chitose already was feeling down for having a whole year pass and still not making much progress popularity wise, but seeing how small her gift pile was compared to the others just made her sink further. Still, she gathered up what gifts she did have and head to her dressing room to go through them in private. Among them was all the usual stuff like fan letters, candy and snacks, small plushies, etc. but one gift especially stuck out to her. It was a really pretty ruffled choker and earring set that seemed to sparkle like no other jewelry she'd seen before! In fact the pretty pink crystals that hung on them almost seemed to be faintly glowing. Accompanying the gift was a small note that read "Granting you the power of the stars in hope you may reach them!" The whole thing was a little eerie and off putting to Chitose and the note especially made it seem like more than just an encouraging gift, but she decided to let that be a problem for later on that day when she was at home.

That night while winding down her thoughts just kept going back jewelry set. She knew she wasn't going to sleep if she didn't pull it out and take another look so she decided to put her mind to rest and do just that. Such as it did before the set pulsed lightly with pink light, it was so pretty and delicate looking now especially in the dim light of her room. Curiousity getting the best of her she lifted the pieces carefully out of the box they were held in and gently began to put them on. She started first with the choker, once it was securely fastened around her neck the pulsing light grew stronger. It immediately startled her before quickly dying down to a much calmer state. Though calm, the pulsing was different this time and she wondered if adding the earrings would have any more of an effect. Taking a deep breath she clasped one of the earings in. This time the light just stopped pulsing all together and instead just remained half lit. She waiting another moment to see if anything else would happen and when it didn't she reached to put the other earring in. She paused just before feeding it through her pierced ear and sat there for a long moment wondering if she really did want to even try this at all. After long enough her body seemed to not want to wait for her brain to make the decision and moved to clasp the last piece on.

The light coming from the gems got brighter and brighter, filling the whole room and causing Chitose to have to shut her eyes so it wouldn't blind her. Once closed, she felt a surge of energy run though her. Although it was strong it didn't hurt, it actually felt warm and comfortable almost, like what taking a nice warm bath might feel like. After a few moments the light died down and the feeling went away. Taking this as the cue it was safe, Chitose cautiously peeked out through her fingers and saw that the light had not only returned to a soft glow like before- her outfit had completely changed!!

The change of her oversized, white t-shirt and athletic shorts to the sparkly and ruffled fabric of a traditional japanese-esque dress was definitely a shocking sight. After staring at herself in the mirror for so long she nearly started to panic when a certain small pink bear, hamster... devil... creature........ thing appeared on her windowsill. It told her it was glad the gift worked and proceeded to explain all of what just happened. Since the jewelry had successfully transformed her, it meant that Chitose had the potential to be a Magical Girl if she so desired. The little creature wasn't going to pressure her on it, but if she was interested in learning more she should turn over the card that came with the gift and directions to where she'd need to go next would be on the back. And with that they dissappeared without a trace. Chitose's shining outfit faded back to her outfit from before as well and before anything else weird happened she decided that maybe it was time to call it a day.

For the next several days again what had happened that night just wouldn't let her go. So finally on a day where she didn't have any club activities or show practice, she decided to take a look and see if there really was a place she was supposed to go. Sure enough when she turned the card over that came with her gift, a list of directions appeared. Chitose followed them and ended up at a large building, but this one seemed really different from any other just by the gut feeling she got waiting outside. When she gathered up the courage to go in she was greeted by a winged, pink-haired girl who seemed really happy and relieved to see Chitose. The girl escorted her to VERY comfortable and homey, office-looking room where another mildly older-looking girl awaited. She introduced herself as Clara and explained everything to Chitose about how the building she was in was an organization for magical girls that helped to train and prepare them to help defend the universe against evil and wrongdoings. Chitose being there meant again that she definitely had the potential to become a magical girl if she so chose to do so, and thus Clara extended the invation for Chitose to join the organization.

Any other person would have likely declined or at least asked for a few days to think about it. But Chitose was so amazed by the thought of her being able to help others and realized how much it would make her shine, so immediately she agreed.

From then on she continued to come and train at the organization when she wasn't off at school or attending to her duties as an idol. Which surprisingly really wasn't that difficult! Whenever you went to the organization time outside of it seemed to stand still so it wasn't as if she ever missed anything! Eventually she finally moved on to fighting battles on her own and it was a wonderful feeling! Things continued on this way for a long time until she met Mason, a more shy and awkward Dainty that had recently moved in just outside the city. Something about the kid immediately caught Chitose's attention so she attempted to befriend them. This worked out rather well and once they got close enough that she found out about their passion for Magical Girls, she just KNEW she needed them as her partner. Fighting alone was cool and all, but she always envied those on a team when she'd see them around. And once she convinced them to join her she confirmed that it really was better fighting alongside someone else.

Now the two are a powerful duo fueled by their close and equally as powerful friendship. Mason is still really new to the whole Magical Girl thing so there's a lot Chitose has to teach and help them out with but it's all a really fun journey that they get to experience together.
