Gabriel Mayne's Links
Marisol is... an interesting character. For the longest time, Gabe couldn't decide if she liked him, or wanted him dead. Knowing her... probably both. They've grown quite close though. He wouldn't mind going on another adventure with her someday... not counting the current one.
Marisol's called Gabe a lot of things: tenderfoot, cityboy, chucklehead... but she's only recently started calling him her friend. Her... close friend. But don't tell anybody, or they'll think she's going soft.
Konnie's an old friend from Kileburgh. He hopes she's doing well in this ... time. Maybe he'll reunite with her on the Island! They have a lot to catch up about.
Gereon is his father, if that wasn't made obvious by how similar they look. Similar enough for strangers to confuse them. He's grateful that Gereon accepted him with open arms. Gereon is eccentric, to be sure, but he's a good man at heart. He'll happily work with the Copper Ring, though he's not sure what skills he can offer such an organization. If it means spending time with his family though, he'll happily tag along on their strange excursions.
Gereon was ecstatic to find out he had another son! And an aurubi at that. Gabriel is a fine young man, though a bit on the softspoken side. That's quite alright. Beneath his shy exterior, he can tell Gabe has an adventurous heart! It's fate that they met so soon after his retirement. Perhaps Gabe will take up the mantle alongside his siblings.
Aasira has always been... guarded, to say the least. While they weren't exactly the closest of friends, Gabriel always respected them and enjoyed their conversations. Hopefully, he can help her adjust to this new world. If there's no going back, then she may as well find a friend or two to help her adjust.
When Gabriel disappeared, Aasira was more distraught than he let on. Having known about this world's tendency to snatch people from other ones, she assumed the worst... and was right. Thankfully, he seems to have maintained his humility, and even reconnected with family. Maybe they can find a sort of family too...
Mr. Finnigan let him stay in his home when he fell into the world. He'll never forget that kindness, and he will pass it along wherever he can. He writes as often as possible, keeping him updated on his new life. When he spoke of Mr. Finnigan to his father, he got a funny smile and asked if he could send a letter of his own. He wonders what interest he has in his friend.
Gabriel is a good lad, if a bit naive to the ways of this world. No matter. He's been quite the help. He was sad to see him leave, but Gabriel deserves to be with family. He enjoys the letters he sends. Something strange happened not long after, though. He got a... generous... gift? From his father, Mr. Von Falken. It was more than enough to afford him to worry less about his monthly payments... but that's not why he took care of Gabriel. He was a boy in need.
