STORY

Born in the deepest depths of space, Grey developed in a dormant state in the middle of a vast thin layer of water. They were awoken by an immense sound, one that was unfamiliar. A mysterious craft with a gaping hole slowly passed by their island in the stars, and Grey ventured to it. Inside were a hoard of books with more knowledge than one mind could hold in a lifetime. Here Grey stayed, and eventually crudely repaired the vessel. 

While traveling the cosmos, Grey saw the warriors of the heavens dancing cyclically around what the books had called Earth. Supposedly these bodies protected Earth from calamity long before life even existed on the planet, and would do so again in the face of danger. The stories these constellations told ingrained themselves into Grey. With all the other fascinating things these books seemed to tell of Earth, Grey felt a need to protect it.

When they arrived on land after crashing the ship into the ocean, they were surprised to encounter other beings. Frightened at first, but welcomed, they figured that the beings were not dangerous. Their wealth came from trading in a collection of precious metals gathered throughout the solar system along the way to those of aristocracy. This put them in good favor with many rich folk and Grey was quickly swept into the circle. However, their oddity and misplacement was not unnoticed, even to themselves. Eventually Grey withdrew from society, becoming recluse. Nowhere to be found, and their properties abandoned, most people presumed Grey to have been axed off or on the run to a new planet.

Grey turned back up at their old Observatory in Ethovalon, offering it as a base of operations to Grand Trine leaders Percy and Carina in negotiation that they would pursue targets of interest that they held, as well as restore it and its telescope to its former glory.

PERSONAL HISTORY

When asked about their personal endeavors, Grey tends to stray from the subject. Getting to know Grey on a personal level is next to impossible. Some people think that they are hiding something, perhaps a secret plot to probe the population and turn everyone into mindless slaves. But that's just talk. 

Grey believes that there is an impending doom awaiting everyone and that it is their mission to gather the necessary forces to fend it off. This doom will actually be the group's inevitable end since I, nor Grey, can forsee future events. 

TRIVIA

Grey can manipulate their material state to an extent, choosing to either have regular hands or tendrils in their human form as they could in their feral. 

If one found Grey to be shirtless, they would notice a prominent cavity in their chest that is similar to Iron Man (MCU). 

Their name is based on this alien folklore.
