Bramble grew up on the outskirts of the serene village, closer to the Ancient Barrow than to the town proper. He was somewhat isolated from other Pokémon his own age growing up, both due to having no neighbors, as well as being rather shy and reserved in school. Nevertheless, he was always a modest and respectful boy who was eager to learn, and grateful for the education (his own parents told him stories about how, in their day, an education was a rare gift, and one that ought not be squandered).

Despite having virtually no natural abilities for it, Bramble found himself very interested in learning different methods of healing other Pokémon. While most of the moves he could learn would heal himself but nothing others, Bramble learned the arts of practical healing instead - how to treat wounds, splint limbs, and tend to sicknesses, and even make simple healing serums. His calm bedside manner became a comfort to those seeking aid, although that same aloof manner would also put off other Pokémon in his personal life. As such Bramble lived somewhat lonely, until one day when a frantic Beldum named Benipé dropped a very poorly Goomy named Pythios on his door. After nursing the frail Goomy back to health, Benipé insisted that Bramble should join them. Somewhat new to people wanting him around after the healing was done, Bramble agreed, and has been tentatively traveling with the rescue team, offering medical assistance to those injured in dungeons.
