Dante

Taken in by a bookshop owner who was a friend of his late parents', Dante's childhood was filled with reading. Coping with such a great loss at a young ages, he found himself drawn to dark magic in the hopes tthat he could protect those he cares about. His studies quickly became an obsession, much to the concern of his adoptive father and the community.

He struggled to make friends due to his self-isolation, and experienced a lot of harrassment due to his unsettling interests. Because of this is he very skeptical of anyone who takes a liking to him, but can become attached to people quickly.

Despite his ravenous reading habits, the ability to use magic of his own eluded Dante for many years. Only once making a deal with an otherworldly being is he able to wield magic of his own. Yet he still hungers for more.
