Irrelevant, forgettable, and bland. All of these words used to describe Ruby, once upon a time. She was always unsatisfied at how the world around her treated her, always noticing how people more pretty than her would get better treatment, even if Ruby was just as if not more skilled than them. That fact had always frustrated her, but part of her understood that that’s the way of life. And so when offered a chance to change it for herself, she gleefully accepted.
