Their family dynamic is slightly odd. Cecilia and Max's father was a womanizer in the royal navy, therefore he was noncommittal with many single ladies, sleeping around and then shipping out, never to be seen again. This happened to a springer spaniel lady in his native England which resulted in the conception of Max. Then he shipped out and one year later he was with a cocker spaniel lady in California, which was Cecilia's conception. When her mother was pregnant with Cecilia, she met a wonderful kindly gentleman and married him. They consummated the marriage which resulted in the birth of Micky. Cecilia and Micky see themselves as true brother and sister as their mother was too embarrassed to tell them that Cecilia was the result of a one-night-stand until they became teenagers. After all, her husband was their true father, and he was, in every respect except by blood. Max moved to Tigville for work and he happened to meet Micky and Cecilia when The Prairees were an upcoming band. During off-hours when playing the same clubs, they hung out with each other and eventually Max and Cecilia realized that they were half siblings.
Cecilia is very close to her little brother. She was protective of him when they were young and as adults, she assists behind the scenes for The Prairees. She receives and sorts their fan mail and will often organize meet and greets with fans when she's on the road with them. On albums or live shows, Cec sings backup for The Prairees on many of their songs and sings a few songs with her brother such as "She'll Be There." Later on, Cecilia stepped up to create her own Cass Elliot cover band that sometimes travels along with The Prairees as an opener. Mick helps give Cecilia a career boost and she assists him where she can.
