Profile
as the unofficial leader of the survivors in the canyon, sillon does his best to protect his friends that are now so close he could call them family.
he enjoys the calm of organization, though it often seems hard to find in the chaos of the world, post-invasion. he does his best where he can, though, and keeps the camp as well as anyone could under the circumstances.
of course, it would be so much easier if he could just be satisfied with being friends with his new companions, but it's not like he can help falling head over heels for koharu, quii, and emii. he's not sure who's supposed to take the blame, but it sure isn't him.
History
“a natural leader,” one grade school teacher had called him once. even as a child, sillon was pretty sure that was just a nice way of calling him “bossy.” he didn’t really mind it, though. after all, it was true. maybe the lack of control of his own body and the way he was perceived made him naturally want to control others. he was never cruel, he just liked to have everything the way he wanted it.
when the fumi came, it seemed his overbearing nature was actually useful for once. in chaos, people gravitate towards order, and he could provide that order. though he was separated from his twin sister, sillon managed to lead a small group of tehyans out of the ruined city and to a desert canyon where they found temporary refuge. koharu and quii are in this group from the beginning, while emii joins just as they reach the canyon.
after the group are eventually forced to flee the canyon after the spy is revealed, he is able to reunite with his sister.
Trivia
- the name sillon means "great lover/optimist," but also just means "furrow" in french, seen in the name of the french catholic political movement of the late 19th/early 20th century

relationship
koharu was almost as quiet as emii when she first came to the camp, but slowly she had warmed up to them, much to the joy of sillon.
he knows the shorter tehyan lost someone very important to her during the fall, and that the energy she puts into fighting is fueled by her desire for revenge.
sillon hopes that, one day, she can find the peace to move on, and he's willing to help her reach that point however he can.
relationship
emii had been the first one he was sure he like liked, his small frame and quiet mannerisms, surely designed to keep him under others’ radars, instead made him more intriguing to sillon.
his lack of knowledge on common tehyan culture was endearing, if not curious, but his grasp on the finer sciences is beyond impressive.
sillon looks forward to the day he can talk to him about his youth in the remote religious community of alni, but knows it will take a long time to get him comfortable to the point of talking about such personal matters.
