Information

Personality

Harsh, Playful, Hardworking, Bossy, Aware, Cocky, Capable, Power-Hungry

Sigmund likes to keep his eye on things. He believes that if he wants something to be done right, he either has to do it himself or keep a close eye. He has a knack for pushing people too far with his domineering attitude. He tries to let loose, but sometimes, he finds it too fun to exert his power and authority over others. He's definitely the type to play favorites too, but that doesn't mean he's nicer to his favorites.

Sigmund thinks that everything has to be earned. He is well-off because of hard work, and he wanted people to know that he rose from shit to get to where he is today. He thinks he deserves it too. He doesn't slack off despite making it this far either.

History

Sigmund was born into dock-work, as his family had done for ages. He started working at a very young age and the years of physical labor wore on his body. His family never much cared for education or exploration of the world. He came from nothing, and he didn't want to keep living his whole life poor. His life growing up was bland, harsh, and rigid. It gave him his values, sure, but they didn't always suit the changing times he found himself in.

Sigmund's family discouraged him from going to school for a long time, but he finally made a deal with them. If he didn't like University, he'd join the Navy for some proper discipline. Of course, he was the first in his family to go to University. He earned all of his own money and paid for his own schooling, but University didn't suit him. It didn't feel real, felt too closed off from the world. He grew bored of it after a year into getting his Business degree. So he kept his end of the bargain and joined the Navy. Since he spent his whole life around the docks and around boats, it felt like a natural next step. At least this way, he got to see more of the world. He hoped it'd give him some direction in life. Although  he enjoyed it for a time, he realized he brought himself back into a world that was just as rigid as the one he grew up in. However, he met some amazing people there that changed his life and helped him find the direction he needed. He created stronger bonds than he ever had before despite having disdain for the way things were run.

After he got out of the Navy, he jumped right into the fast paced world of city life. Putting some knowledge from his school classes to use, he made his money by buying and selling property. He got to be hands on and see a project through, which satisfied his hard-working spirit that got drilled into him as a child.

It wasn't long before he grew dissatisfied with this come-and-go lifestyle too. He felt trapped in this world. It was too much too fast for him. He had seen enough of the world pass by him in a flash. He wanted to slow down and not be suffocated by his obligations for work, trying to keep up with the competitive markets.

While visiting with a Navy buddy, his friend told him about this old run down blues bar he liked. Sigmund went to go visit it, and despite not having a strong love of music at all, he felt a deep fondness towards it. Upon seeing an up for lease sign, he bought it with his old savings and fixed it up. He saw the charm in it that his old navy buddy saw, and he wanted to keep it that way. So he did. For the first time, he kept this property for himself instead of passing it on to new owners who'd ruin the old charm it had. This is where he'd find the satisfaction he was looking for. His own business.

Ren
