Percy is an optimistic wannabe scientist who took whatever money he could to attend university. However, it didn’t take long for his funds to nearly run out, causing him to drop out before he could finish his studies. Still determined to learn and make something of himself, he began traveling and researching what he could, until he found himself on Valentine’s doorstep one particularly difficult night.

Valentine gives him a room to serve as his lab and funds his scientific endeavors, much to Percy’s delight. While he notices many of his host’s strange behaviors, he doesn’t believe in the supernatural and comes up with increasingly exhaustive “rational” explanations for them.
