- His "face" is vaugely in the shape of a rat skull
- The rags on his limbs are normal cloths, they just don't last long.
- The mushrooms growing from him are edible, just be careful if you collect them.
- His bird like feet are suprisingly useful for climbing.
Dearil is a calm and reserved Edeia with a kind heart. He is wise from a long life before and after Actualization and happily gives advice where it is welcome. However, he is aware that his appearance is unnerving to mortals and even some immortal so keeps his distance if he believes he is unwelcome.

Senescent Touch
He can speed up, slow down, and stop the aging process of anything he touches. He can affect the aging if non physical things as well such as speeding up the loss of a memory, loss of sanity, or one's will to live, though he has refused to use these abilities in any meaningful capacity since their discovery.

Dearil’s Abstraction is a shockingly beautiful expanse of forest with flowering plants and colorful fungi. The abstraction is in a constant state of half spring, half autumn, with the colorful leaves falling off the many trees into piles that dissolve into the soil the other plants grow from. Just hidden in the undergrowth grave stones and clean bones peak out of the root. It always seems to be just before sunset and in the shadows of the thick tree trunks bioluminescent flora gently glow.
