Jaari
Jaari is a shiny Jolteon with ashes uniquely stuck to him as the result of volcanic lightning.
Most of the time he lives on Cinnabar Island, together with his trainer Bennet, who gave him his goggles to better cope with high speeds.
The Jolteon used to be reserved, but under Bennet's care he became a very jolly pokemon that enjoys sweet things like Custap and Grepa berries.
Quick Attack Normal
The user lunges at the target at a speed that makes it almost invisible. This move always goes first.
Thunderbolt Electric
A strong electric blast crashes down on the target. This may also leave the target with paralysis.
Shadow Ball Ghost
The user hurls a shadowy blob at the target. This may also lower the target's Sp. Def stat.
Volt Switch Electric
After making its attack, the user rushes back to switch places with a party Pokémon in waiting.
When young, Jaari was brought to the technologically advanced Cinnabar Island. The Eevee was to be researched on, with the purpose of extracting the gene(s) that may cause its unusual greyish colour and especially silky fur. After months of unsuccessful attempts to isolate the responsible gene(s), they decided to evolve the Eevee by exposing it to a Thunder Stone a traveler had brought into town: Comparing samples from Jaari as an Eevee with samples of Jaari as a Jolteon might allow them to find out more about changes in shininess.
Not long after Jaari became a Jolteon, a volcano erupted on the Cinnabar Island. The researchers opened his hatch and fled the building. Jaari, too, ran outside admidst the confusion and chaos. He looked up and saw a plume rise into the sky, ready to bury most -if not all- of the island under ashes. The Jolteon's fur stood on end as he realized that there was no way he could out-run the hot ashes. He tried anyway. As he made his way through the ashes, some of them got stuck on his fur. It was then that a lightning struck near him, caused by the static electricity generated from colliding particles within the volcanic plume. Jaari used its charge to unlock his hidden ability and managed to speed away from the eruption.
After finding a safe space near the ocean, Jaari took a rest and tried to clean himself up. But due to the electrical charge most of the ashes would keep stuck on his spiky fur, causing it to remain grey in varying degrees and patterns. Now so vastly different from any Jolteon, shiny or not, Jaari went on to travel the world in search of someone that would love him as he was and not use him for experiments again. It was on one of his annual visits to the shell that was Cinnabar Island that he met Bennet, his destined trainer.
Bennet
[ trainer ] Bennet was the first trainer to approach without bad intentions. They bonded with each other and became very close. Jaari is always a permanent member on Bennet's team and proudly wears the goggles his trainer gave him.
Daliq
[ friend ] Having been on Bennets team longer and knowing how it is to be unfamilar with electric powers, Jaari took it upon himself to mentor Daliq. Though the Cydaquil is too sleepy for Jaari's taste, they became good friends.
Krysta & Pyrra
[ acquaintances ] Although they are in the same team, Jaari never bothered to get close to the two. He has gotten over his initial jealousy from when Bennet cared for them extensively after the rescue, but he wouldn't consider them good friends of his.
