APPEARANCE

Scarletmoon is a red and black tabico with thick, fluffy fur, and a bulky frame. She stands at 0'9" without accounting for her ears. She has distinctly red eyes, one of which sporting a ravine-like scar through it. Other scars include the scores from her left ear down to her chin on the left side of her face, her torn ears, and severed tail. She has several smaller scars littered under her thick fur, invisible unless looked for, as well as a severed tongue.

Due to her lack of a proper tongue, Scarletmoon cannot groom herself, resulting in her fur becoming wild and unkempt. As a kit and apprentice, she would style it a specific way, that she can no longer achieve. She does not trust many cats to attempt to groom it the way she'd like, only accepting the bare minimum of assistance.

Design notes
  • Her blinded eye's pupil is permanently dilated, meaning it will stay enlarged, even if her working one contracts.
  • All of Scarlet's scars are covered by major plot events, hence no PoP.
  • She has the genetic trait of curled ears. She used to have curled ears before they were ripped off.
  • proof of purchase (see/click here)
Personality

POSITIVES; Well-meaning, Clever, Companionable.

☾ Scarletmoon has always had a strong sense of companionship to her Clanmates and friends, and will always fight for them to the best of her abilities. She has the best intentions in mind, keeping an open mind to those she does not know and treats everyone with the upmost respect, unless undeserving. She has a tendency to quip and think quickly, considering her mind stronger than her body. Usually, she can think her way out of a sticky situation.

NEUTRALS; Forthright, Ambitious, Talkative.

☾ It seems that Scarletmoon is physically incapable of lying, as she always speaks the truth and nothing but it, even if bluntly. She doesn't want the reputation of a liar, and therefore, will instead redirect conversation or stay quiet where one might lie. She has a very strong sense of ambition, and seeks to become a strong role model for those younger than her, a great supporting warrior to her clanmates, and a shining example of what a warrior can be to all. She wants to represent her Clan in a positive light, negating the stereotype of sneaky liars her Clan holds. This ambition has been stifled after her kidnapping, but still resides within her. She doesn't want to be seen as a burden. Even with her severed tongue, Scarlet has a lot to say. She still does her best to speak, but as she learns sign language and adapts it to her physicality, she has grown more talkative again. She struggles conveying her thoughts, though, and may end up bothering those she's trying to talk with.

NEGATIVE; Cowardly, Hidebound, Blunt.

☾ Scarlet was once a challenging cat, but after her kidnapping... she has become fearful and non-confrontational. She can and will still defend herself, but breaks easily. While her faith in StarClan and her own Clan has been severely shaken, Scarlet remains hidebound. She will always believe in her Clan, though she has lost her faith in her ancestors after they proved to her they would let their mortal kin suffer in favor of destiny. Her ideals on family, her morals, and her opinions on those outside of her Clan will scarcely change, and she will fiercely defend those ideals.

Likes
  • Strong, loyal, and dependable cats.
  • Her family, her friends, & her little trinkets.
  • ShadowClan history... but not so much anymore.
Dislikes
  • Prejudiced cats, such as Tundrafang.

☾ KITHOOD ☽

First things first, Strawberryseed and Stormhunter were not ready to take care of a kit. This kitten was the result of a fling between the two warriors, who had a no-strings-attached relationship. Though, once Stormhunter had fallen pregnant, she consulted Strawberryseed, and they both agreed that neither were prepared to be parents. So, they discussed the situation with the Caregiver they decided to put their trust in: Tortoisetail. Tortoisetail agreed to care for the kit they were expecting once they were weaned, raising them as their own. And so, that's what they did. Strawberryseed & Stormhunter decided not to name their kit themselves, instead leaving it up to Tortoisetail to decide on the kit's name once she was born. Tortoisetail selected the name Scarletkit.

Approximately two weeks after she was born, At the Gathering, Wrenwater and Hydrangeawhisper of ThunderClan demonstrate to all clan cats how to disarm the twoleg fox snares, so no cat can be killed by one again.

Batface finds Freckleshimmer, the Medicine Cat of RiverClan, by the border and brings her to ShadowClan, where she rests and recovers for a few days. ShadowClan is given no explanation, but senses that there is something going on in RiverClan... Freckleshimmer leaves after a few days to stay with Sophie, the outsider. While she wasn't invlved at all, this was a strange time.

It didn't take much for Scarletkit to become aware of who her blood parents are. Even so, she feels no need to seek them, or their attention, out. Along with this realization, she came to the conclusion that she wasn't entirely fond of being called a "young she-cat". She didn't feel entirely too attached to her feminimity, but didn't feel like anything else either. She asked around - especially pestering Tortoisetail - about what that could mean. The conclusion was made that 'Demigirl' seemed to fit her best. Her father is everything she could ever need: a present parental figure - a loving one at that - and her best friend. Also her food source. Oh yeah, breakfast in bed, baby. She was spoiled rotten by her Dad, even repeating the stories he'd told her a thousand times over about Clan history and its iconic heroes. And once he ran out of new stories to tell, she started bothering the medicine cat Batface... he's the medicine cat, surely he knew some cool stories, right? Soon enough, she began barging into the den day after day when not with her Dad, pestering the poor tom as he worked, nagging him for more stories. He never shooed her away, as disgruntled as he seemed.

She swore that someday she'd make her name known for generations - that she'd make her Dad proud.

☾ APPRENTICESHIP ☽

Despite a restless night of tossing and turning before her first dawn patrol, Scarlet is very excited for her new step in life. She can finally start making a name for herself! Her chest puffed with pride, this young feline is ready to rumble.... aaaaaand bother her Dad and Batface for more stories about Clan past. Just as the season previous, cats from all clans have vanished. It's assumed they have been taken by the twolegs, as their clanmates were before them. The clans can do nothing but wait to see if they'll return at all this time.. Lucky, they all do, although they are not the same, and their abillity to have kits was taken, same as before. Scarlet worried for her safety as well as her Clanmates', but wouldn't let it sway her.

At the Gathering, the four leaders announce that the Warrior Code has been amended after discussion with the clan's Medicine Cats... They are now permitted to have mates and start families, the same as any other member of the clan. Though many are happy for the healers who were once forbidden from love, others are jaded by the change to what is meant to be an inflexible code of honour. Scarletpaw had attended this Gathering, and thought this amendment beneficial to everyone.

The missing cats taken this season by the twolegs are returned; sans Nerinenectar, who is kept by them. Petroleum, the same kittypet from before, delivers a message via the returned; In three to four moons, a threat to the clans will appear unlike any other they've ever faced... While Scarlet had no predisposition toward outsiders, she did fear what this may spell... what kind of threat?

In the same moon, the warrior by the name of Helleboretongue passed away. Scarletpaw was among the patrol to discover his body, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the scene caused in camp upon returning had Scarletpaw shellshocked. Tortoisetail and Dahliablaze came to her rescue, and the young molly retreated to her nest with her father to calm down after the event. Scarletpaw swallowed her sorrow and unintentionally decided to ignore her feelings on the matter. Her 'recovery' wasn't really... a recovery. She ignored her feelings and memories for as long as she could. Just after, Valarianshade, the junior Medicine Cat of ShadowClan, steps from her position due to her beginning to lose her hearing, and retires to be a caregiver. The warrior Squirrelsmirk is chosen as her replacement. Scarlet hopes Squirrelsmirk turns out to be a good fit for Batface. The exiled Harvestwind of the Seven, now going by 'Kronos', is killed by Tranceshadow after he threatens her young grandsons. However, he gravely injures the senior ShadowClan warrior in the process. She eventually passes away from the injury sustained weeks later. Scarlet mourns briefly, but can't help be a tad relieved, as the dame had always been a threatening presence.

As if a shining light had come to guide her, she now had two little adoptive brothers; Carminekit and Cinnamonkit. She immediately accepted them as her own siblings, as she was never too fond of being an only child. Sure, it was easy just her and Tortoisetail, but having two little siblings to care about and befriend was so exciting! Hey, it helped her forget about the bad in the world for a while, too. Until the Gathering, at which the necessity to fight back against Monsters on the Clan's lands arose. The prospect of siding with rogues and loners didn't sit quite right with her, as Helleboretongue had been slain by one. She decided not to voice her thoughts on the matter, instead opting to go home early with Tortoisetail after Dahliablaze and the RiverClan warrior Hawthornlight consoled her.

The outsiders and selected groups of warriors are brought together to disable the twoleg monsters under Petroleum's guidance. Several warriors are injured; Huckleberry of Shadowclan and Snowbear of Thunderclan perish. Every leader looses at least one life, Racoonstar and Silverstar two. Yet, with their mission, the monsters have been stopped and the clans and outsiders are assured by Petroleum that the twolegs won’t try again. She isn't so sure, but she found herself focusing more on her Clan's needs than that in the moment.

Still, Scarletpaw trained hard. Watching her brothers grow up was an amazing experience, even if she's not too much older than them. Carminepaw and Cinnamonpaw... they're gonna make fine warriors someday. Hey, speaking of! Her warrior ceremony was only a few sunrises away, so she began to prepare for her assessment... and passed with flying colors. Dahliablaze may be a jokester, but she sure knew how to teach Scarletpaw to reach success!

☾ WARRIORHOOD ☽

A small patrol of ThunderClan and ShadowClan cats discover a Twolegplace has been built near the clan territories, forever altering the forest. Word spreads rapidly through all four clans of the discovery, with many realizing the futility of their previous mission to stop the twolegs... When the twolegs had already succeeded. Yeah, she'd thought so... she didn't think even the Clans had the power to stop Twolegs in their tracks. Would they try to encroach again...?

Only a few moons later, Cinnamonpaw sought out Scarletmoon for help. They discussed gender identity and pronouns, and Scarletmoon helped her little sibling start their journey to figuring themself out. Scarletmoon soon found she needed to branch out from her small family circle and actually make some friends for once. Connections would help her get places, right? Eventually she found herself engaged in conversations with Twigshadow, the late Tranceshadow's grandson. As nonchalant and confident as he seemed, he was fun to talk to & hunt with.

Around when she turned fifteen moons did things pick up within the Clan once more. Yewbriar was abducted by Twolegs who use a strange metal cage to trap the warrior. Nobody is sure what is becoming of these taken cats, as they do not return like those who are fixed do... it worries Scarlet. Three moons later, Dixie, a rogue, revealed herself to be at the head of a formidable force of outsiders, and she interrupted the Gathering to charge the ShadowClan elder Blackstag with the murder of her kin during the Great War many moons past, the war the clans waged with rogues to save StarClan. She was chased from the Gathering by ThunderClan Branchers. Scarletmoon sat next to Twigshadow, a slowly-blooming friend, as she hissed and defended her Clan among the sea of rioting Clan cats. What would happen to ShadowClan...?

Later that same moon, Raccoonstar and his deputy Timberwolf elected to step down from their roles as ShadowClan's leadership due to their age. In their place they choose the warrior Stonecold to receive Raccoonstar's nine lives at the Moonpool, and they departeed immediately for the Starlit Cavern. This meeting also made it clear that neither Raccoonstar nor Stonecold intend to sacrifice Blackstag to Dixie and her outsider cohort. This announcement caused turmoil; while Scarletmoon was supportive, her friend Twigshadow, was not. She knew the leader and his deputy deserved the rest, and trusted their judgement in electing Stonecold, but she definitely knew they had to prove their worth to the Clan. Stonecold recieved their nine lives shortly after, becoming Stonestar. The same day, after mistreating the half-clan apprentice Irispaw, Tundrafang was punished by Stonestar with additional duties and is required to be under supervision. Scarlet, of course, did not agree with Tundrafang's mindset. She still felt bitter toward Tundrafang for her hatred of outsider cats, as well as the time Tundra had snapped at her as an apprentice. The two seemed to share the sentiment. A few days later, Batface stepped down to retire with his mate Flamestep. Squirrelsmirk was made the sole Medicine Cat of ShadowClan in his stead, and did not immediately take on an apprentice.

Mere sunrises later, Scarletmoon had decided to take a walk to start her day. She was assigned to patrols later, and wanted to get a jumpstart on the day's chores. However, things did not go as intended... she was ambushed by Kittypets of all cats, and dragged away to Twolegplace, left without much of a trace behind them. There, she was held hostage as an exchange for Blackstag, confirmed by their little messenger Remus. However, she knew the Clan would not just give him up... so they'd come rescue her, right? While she was unaware of the happenings back home, Stonestar had indeed sent out patrols, including some to scour Twolegplace, where they deemed that Kittypets had taken her. However, they still couldn't find her. In her absence, Smokefeather was elected as Stonestar's first Deputy.

Scarletmoon was held hostage for a total of four weeks, pieces of her being ripped off of her and left in ShadowClan territory as a message. First her right ear, then a part of her tail, then her left ear, then another piece of tail. ShadowClan only recovered her as she was found on their outer border, injured and starved. Her left eye blinded with horrible claw marks down her face, and worst of all, half of her tongue sitting in front of her, clearly just recently removed. She was still conscious, but barely. Jaggedstep, Coyotestorm, Umbrasnarl, and Snowberrymist recovered her, rushing her back to camp and placed her under Squirrelsmirk's care while Smokefeather and Stonestar controlled the crowd.

Since then, ShadowClan still has been in turmoil. Scarletmoon has been assisted by Squirrelsmirk most of all in her recovery, both physical and mental. She has suffered horribly at the claws of the kittypets, the mental damage lasting just as long as her physical scars. Through the assistance of her family, friends, and a few unfamilar faces like Nightwhisper, Scarletmoon is slowly learning how to get back on her paws. She has begun learning sign language to accommodate for her halved tongue, as well as being given plenty of time to rest and recouperate. Stonestar has allowed her to stay inside camp as long as she needs, until she's ready to return to full warrior duties.

Scarlet had not been present for the next major event, but she absolutely heard about it. Dixie had crashed a Gathering by sending an old, dead construction monster to roll into the Gatheringplace, crushing anyone in its wake. It then exploded, causing further damages. All four leaders lose one life. Rains fell upon the lands, dwindling the fires as the Clans returned home, fearful and defeated. Scarletmoon recieved news of this through her friend Twigshadow, with a simple "It was them." She did not sleep well that night.

After Pebblecoo had admitted to Stonestar she was carrying kits of an outsider, the leader summoned a meeting, announcing her punishment. Tundrafang, Pebblecoo's sister, cried outrage. The once-friend of Stonestar's challenged them to a duel to the death, winner claims leadership. Tundrafang struck and blinded one of Stonestar's eyes just before being killed by their paws. Scarletmoon watched the event beside Twigshadow, and as she begun to descend into a panic attack, her friend helped escort her away to a quieter place to de-escalate.

Just after dusk, all four clans are attacked by dogs; presumably sent by the kittypet gang leader Roman, who has used dogs to attack before. Countless cats are killed, maimed and injured... Out of all the clans, ShadowClan is most prepared for the attack by dogs controlled by the Kittypet Gang. Thanks to their training, the clan is swift in evacuation and fighting off the dogs; Tulipmist & Cosmoslight are killed, and the apprentice Piperpaw dies trying to protect the nursery. Stonestar is the only leader out of the clans to not lose a life to the dogs, a testament to their preparation, and ShadowClan evacuates deeper into the swamp with the help of their Navigators. It's there that they must wait out the dogs until it's safe to return to camp. All four clans return home to their partially-destroyed camps now that the dogs have left. They are left to bury their dead, triage their injured and repair their dens and walls... Scarletmoon can't help but panic. No place was ever safe anymore.

Starlingmoon's plans come to fruition; rebels from all four clans converge on ShadowClan, ultimately overthrowing Stonestar. Starlingmoon proclaims herself Starlingstar, with Rookstone as her deputy. Holding kits and elders hostage for leverage, the rebels force all cats of non-clan heritage to leave, with many others following Stonestar into exile. All cats who now remain in ShadowClan must obey the new regime, else they and their clanmates will suffer the consequences. Young Piperkit is held hostage by the rebel Goldenheart, and she is used as leverage to force the surrender of most of ShadowClan's loyalists. When Emberthorn, Twigshadow and Minkpaw continue to resist, Starlingstar orders Goldenheart to cut the kit's throat to prove her seriousness. Coyotestorm, Piperkit's mother, dies trying to reach her child in order to save her. Thankfully, Piperkit survived thanks to the help of Briarfrost, her aunt, and Squirrelsmirk, ShadowClan's medicine cat. All loyalists and cats of non-clan heritage in ShadowClan are chased out by the rebels, and reconvene at ShadowClan's familiar evacuation point, the waterfall. There they await the arrival of Stonestar, the rightful leader of ShadowClan, and their deputy Smokefeather, with many frightened and afraid now that their clan has fallen to traitors... After Whisperingdream, Cinderfall, Sorrelskip and Possumspine leave to seek help, they return with Mosspath and Fernstar of ThunderClan, and a patrol of cats ready to assist moving the injured and the rest of the refugees to ThunderClan. ShadowClan loyalists will stay in ThunderClan for the forseeable future, while their camp is occupied by the rebels. After Twigshadow helps the apprentice Softpaw escape occupied ShadowClan, he is publicly tortured by the rebels in the midst of camp. Raccoonsnap, formerly Raccoonstar, speaks out against the torture of his nephew, and the other Elders begin to agree. Starlingstar, sensing a threat to her rule, then executes the former ShadowClan leader for defying her will. Twigshadow is dragged to the medicine den to recover, and the clan's will to resist is shattered by the death of Raccoonsnap, who led them for countless moons prior to his retirement. The ShadowClan refugees living in ThunderClan welcome another into their midst as Softpaw is brought back to ThunderClan camp, the ShadowClan apprentice having escaped occupied ShadowClan with the help and sacrifice of Twigshadow. Scarlet only has Nightwhisper and Dahliablaze for company, then... her siblings had betrayed her, Twigshadow stayed behind with a sense of heroism... she was alone again.

Stonestar arrives in ThunderClan in the company of Smokefeather, their deputy, and the warrior Larkspurhowl, who'd stolen herbs from Squirrelsmirk and pieced together enough herbal knowledge to patch up the leader. Stonestar meets with Fernstar, the two leaders agreeing to co-operate against the rebels. Scarlet simply hides away.

ShadowClan rebels meet with WindClan rebels at the Gatheringplace, and report back to Starlingstar and Rookstone that WindClan has been successfully taken over by Sootstar— formerly Sootbear —and Oakridge. The WindClan rebels who'd helped with ShadowClan's initial takeover return to their home clan, and the ShadowClan rebels send a few of their own to help reinforce WindClan until more control is established. With news of WindClan seeking sanctuary with RiverClan spreading across the territories, all cats are now aware of the rebel regime occupying ShadowClan and WindClan, and that the loyalist factions have sought refuge in their neighbour clans... Why did everything have to go so poorly? Why couldn't cats just let go of their hate?

The rebel Cinderfall disappears, having been living in ThunderClan with the rest of exiled ShadowClan as just another refugee; her disappearance sparking concern among those sheltering in ThunderClan. To the rebels in ShadowClan's camp though, they'd know her for acting as a spy, informing Starlingstar and Rookstone of the status of their loyalist enemies. Her fate is unknown. Carminefox and Cinnamonhawk reveal their true alliegances and assist Twigshadow, a wounded Shadowclan hostage, in fleeing Shadowclan's rebel camp. Pipitscreech, Roandune, and Alligatorgrin give chase, but are unable to catch the fleeing loyalists before they make it to the Thunderclan border. A brawl transpires between the rebels and a Thunderclan patrol, and while the Thunderclan patrol is badly beaten, reinforcements arrive... And the rebels realize that they're outnumbered. They return back to camp, with one less hostage and two less rebels. Scarlet was one of the first to greet Twigshadow, holding her ailing friend close as she looked toward her siblings, who were ushered away to explain themselves. Part of her never wanted to see them again, but she knew that was too harsh.

Thanks to their relationship with the rebel Alligatorgrin, Ridgeback and their uncle, the elder Blackstag, were able to go out on a walk accompanied by two other rebels, Roandune and Aldersnap. The innocuous family moment was broken, however, when the outsider Hyzenthlay trespassed on ShadowClan. She was secretly in a relationship with the warrior Ravenheart, and had grown worried after hearing disturbing rumours from the clans... She was met with hostility from the rebels and was viciously attacked by them. Ridgeback, unwilling to stand by, jumped in front of her own partner to take a vicious blow from him. In rebel-occupied ShadowClan, Alligatorgrin, Aldersnap and Roandune return with the body of the elder Blackstag. They claim he, and his niece Ridgeback, were both killed after they tried to defend an outsider they'd come across on the territory. Lynxshade, Ridgeback's mother, was bereft hearing that her daughter had been murdered, and attacked Alligatorgrin, believing him rightfully responsible. Though many rebels called for Lynxshade's death, Starlingstar chose to spare her, knowing Lynxshade was suffering infinitely more knowing how she'd failed to protect Ridgeback. The ShadowClan refugees greet Mousefang and Ridgeback, two cats who'd remained in ShadowClan during the initial takeover to stay with their father, the former deputy Timberwolf, who was held hostage. They'd escaped after Mousefang had found Ridgeback injured in the outsider lands following a dispute on a patrol. Now, they join the ShadowClan cats who are taking refuge in ThunderClan. Scarlet couldn't help but feel terrible.

At about this time, Scarletmoon and Twigshadow had a talk. Twig opened up somewhat about what happened in the rebel ShadowClan camp, and Scarlet listened. He admitted to liking her... both agreed to save that for the future, when they were both in better spirits and healthier minds, but Scar didn't tell him no.

Flamestar and Sagetar make their move against Oakstar and the other rebels holding WindClan in the rebellion's name, marking the first major retaliation against the rebels within the clans. Oakstar, the rebel leader of WindClan, is killed by his daughter Martensmirk, the loyalist deputy, in the battle to retake WindClan. Other rebels, notably Begonialeaf, Weaselface, Shrikeclaw, Pythonsmirk of ShadowClan, and Frostmoon of RiverClan also perish, and the loyalists lose the warrior Sunpuddle. Oakstar's deputy Snapdragonfrost and the warriors Moorstripe, Flurryfreeze, Leopardshine, Lambpetal, and Infernostorm are captured and are to be tried for their crimes by Flamestar, as is Icestep. However, there are also RiverClan traitors; Mushroomshade, Ibisstrike, Sandpiper, and Viperspots will be tried by Sagestar. The combined forces of RiverClan and loyalist WindClan succeed in taking back WindClan camp from the rebel force, after eight moons of occupation. WindClan leadership is officially restored to Flamestar and Martensmirk, and the kits, apprentices and elders that were held hostage by the rebels are freed at last. With this success, it seems that an attack should be expected on Starlingstar and ShadowClan's rebels any day... They stand as the last bastion of the rebel cause. At least that meant it was time to strike for ShadowClan - Scarlet refused to participate, though... she offered to help with the triage in the aftermath.

After Starlingstar, Rookstone and Goldenheart scheme on how to weaken ThunderClan in the wake of WindClan's fall, a rebel patrol is dispatched to poison ThunderClan's herb-growing fields with the juice of deadly deathberries. Led by the ThunderClan rebel, Goldenheart guides Rookstone, Pipitscreech, Roandune and Aldersnap into the territory to enact the plan, and they leave for their own lands without a trace, having successfully sabotaged ThunderClan's future herb supply. The ShadowClan refugees attending the ThunderClan meeting called by Fernstar would learn of how the ShadowClan rebels, aided by Goldenheart, poisoned ThunderClan's herb supply with the juice of deathberries, with the intent on gravely injuring many in the clan. It is clear to them that Starlingstar will not stop until the clans are all under rebel rule... And it is up to Stonestar and the rest of the clan leadership to figure out how they will retake their home in the wake of this assault. After receiving a report from Firfrost, a ThunderClan rebel still hiding within ThunderClan, via Goldenheart, Starlingstar learns that Pipitscreech had betrayed the rebels by informing ThunderClan of the poisoned herbs — Thus thwarting her plans of weakening them and making them ripe for a takeover. In response, Pipitscreech is publicly executed before the clan by multiple rebels who tear her apart, in a brutal and violent display that leaves what remains of ShadowClan deeply shaken. Pipitscreech's mutilated corpse is left on the ThunderClan side of the ThunderClan-ShadowClan border, as a grim warning to both Fernstar and to the ShadowClan refugees still hiding within ThunderClan. Vile... what was WRONG with these cats...

Stonestar and their loyalist warriors prepare to invade rebel-occupied ShadowClan to retake it. Though they plan to travel with ThunderClan under the cover of darkness, plans change when Stonestar reveals that they had a group of ShadowClan operatives, led by the warriors Vervainsneer and Rattlehunter, operating outside of the borders. This group, the 'Others', rejoins the war effort, and in an effort to throw off suspected spies in ThunderClan's camp, they leave at dawn instead. The time finally comes for ThunderClan and ShadowClan to unite to defeat the last bastion of the rebellion; Starlingmoon, the rebel leader of ShadowClan, and her stronghold of rebels still holding ShadowClan camp. Stonestar finally leads the ShadowClan loyalists in the battle to retake ShadowClan from the clutches of Starlingmoon and Rookstone, with their forces invading camp after ThunderClan's branchers struck first with the element of surprise. Stonestar faces off against the rebel deputy Rookstone, whilst their deputy Smokefeather tackles capturing Starlingstar, the rebel pretender... Stonestar and Fernstar battle alongside their loyalist warriors to root out the last of the clans' rebels in ShadowClan. Starlingstar, the rebel leader who started it all, is captured by loyalist deputy Smokefeather and his former apprentice Minkhiss, whilst the rebels Rookstone, Roandune, Aldersnap, Alligatorgrin, Swiftbound, Barkhowl, Firfrost, and Goldenheart are killed. Constellationwatcher, one of the more passive ThunderClan rebels, is exiled permanently by Fernstar for siding with the rebels. And Starlingmoon, the rebel leader, is executed by Stonestar, ending the clans' rebellion once and for all. In the aftermath, Scarlet holds true to her promise and assists with triage, before going to visit Squirrelsmirk and deliver her some herbs. The medicine cat offered an apprentice position to her... and she gladly accepted, becoming ShadowClan's next medicine cat apprentice. She left Squirrel's den after some conversation to go tell Twigshadow.

The rebellion of Starlingmoon, Tundrafang, Sootbear Oakridge and so many others from across all four clans is finally over, and the control they all held over the clans— Especially ShadowClan and WindClan —is now broken at last, the clans' rightful leaders restored once more. Though the clans may be able to recover now, the threat of Dixie, Roman and the kittypet gang they lead still looms... They were content to let the clans try and tear eachother apart, but what shall they do now that the clans have thwarted that threat and made peace? After informing Stonestar of how an outsider healer had saved her sister Ridgeback at the cost of the outsider's life, Mousefang tells Stonestar where she'd found Ridgeback and the dead outsider. Stonestar, honouring the outsider's sacrifice, summons a patrol to investigate, and in the quarry they found the body of Hyzenthlay, an old ally of ShadowClan... And the secret lover of Ravenheart, a senior ShadowClan warrior & Navigator. After the nature of their relationship becomes obvious from his grief, Stonestar allows him to carry her body back to ShadowClan, where she receives a vigil and burial befitting a true ShadowClan cat. In the aftermath of the clan rebellion, all of the kits and apprentices once held hostage in ShadowClan and WindClan have resumed their training in their respective clans, under either their previous mentors, or the new mentors assigned to them, and some have even earned their warrior names or had names given to them by false leaders changed to something more fitting. Cats who were unable to complete their specialized rank training are able to attain their new rank, as well... Things have truly begun to feel normal again to the survivors of the rebellion. Scarletmoon was happy to see life returning to normal, but there was still one threat on the horizon... the Gang.

Uncle/Father Figure

Growing up, Scarlet tended to bother the old Medicine Cat for stories and knowledge. Batface grew quite attached to the kid, treating and thinking of her as a daughter. While Scar may call him "Uncle", he's more of a father figure to her. She loves and appreciates the old coot, and spends most of her time by his side as she recovers from her kidnapping.

Older Sister Figure, Friend

While they had a small amount of time to get to know each other before Scarlet's kidnapping, they have grown quite close in the wake of it. Squirrelsmirk has led Scarlet's physical recovery, and has assisted her tremendously in her mental recovery. Scarlet looks up to her with respect and appreciation, as the Medicine Cat has nothing but love and patience for her "favorite denmate".

Former Clanmate, †

Scarlet had no care for Tundrafang, nor can she say she's glad she's dead. She's fearful what her death will bring to the Clans, though...

Leader, Acquaintance

Scarlet respects Stonestar and looks forward to seeing her leadership play out, but she would be lying if she didn't say the stone cold leader didn't scare her a little. She's always had trouble reading cats and their intentions...
