Koharu has been sold by her agency as a very elegant and poised young woman, sometimes reflecting an air of superiority about her. In reality, Koharu is a very down to earth and somewhat hyper woman with a clumsy streak. shes been described as an enigma by some, always seeming to keep her cheer going, even in the face of disaster, rarely breaking her lively attitude. She places great value on her family and friends, and puts them above all else, even herself and her career. She is often seen by her fans as well as others as being very approachable and extremely easy to talk to, being extremely charismatic. she's also been described as being a bit "silly' and unpredictable, but is composed when it matters most. She enjoys having fun with her life, and refuses to let the worst of it drag her down. Being very extroverted, she loves talking, and equally loves listening to anyone who approaches her. Shes very open minded, and isn't afraid to speak her mind, sometimes having people learn the hard way that she doesn't exactly have a filter. Despite her stupid happy appearance, Koharu is very smart, and it shows when it matters.
Story
History
Koharu was born the second of four children to two extremely loving parents. She was very well taken care of, her father being a former Prosecutor before becoming a defense attorney, and her mother a former actress and current journalist working to improve conditions in poorer countries. While very well off, Koharu was often left in the care of her elder sister, as her parents were often occupied with work. It was a fairly lonely lifestyle, but she was well aware that her parents loved her and her siblings dearly, and was determined to stay positive and lively for their sakes.
Koharu was particularly close to her elder sister, Chiyo, for this reason, as she had been her primary caretaker (alongside her uncle) for some time. Chiyo had followed in her mother’s footsteps in the entertainment industry, and dreamed of one day becoming an idol. She often spoke to Koharu about this desire, and the two often would sing and dance for the sake of practice, and just for fun. Koharu was determined to help support her sister in the best way she could. Unfortunately, she wouldn’t get the chance to see her sister achieve her dream.
When Chiyo was 23, and Koharu was 12, chiyo was killed in an accident while trying to protect her sister from a runaway car. Chiyo was rushed to the hospital, and managed to hang on for a while, Koharu trying her best to stay positive. Chiyo always found it amusing how positive the girl managed to stay, and made her promise to always keep that optimism around, no matter how hard times might be. Koharu, of course, swore she would stay happy for her family. Chiyo wanted Koharu’s happiness to be her last thought before passing, and so it was. Chiyo passed away a few hours after the accident.
Koharu couldn’t help but blame herself in a way. She should have been standing somewhere else, she shouldn’t have been on that street corner. It wasn’t her fault, but she couldn’t stop kicking herself for it. Koharu’s parents did her best to support their family despite the tragedy, but it was difficult. Koharu’s mother was often out of the country, and her father simply seemed to shut down, and was often too busy to come home for days. He still loved his daughters, but found things difficult to face. Koharu suddenly found herself thrust back into life, alone. But she couldn’t let herself mope forever. She had promised Chiyo she would pull through, and was determined to do so. She wanted to be the big sister her younger sisters had suddenly been denied, and was determined to make sure nothing else happened to her family. She took over as one of the primary caregivers of her family with the support of her uncle and Chiyo’s boyfriend, who had become too fond of the family to want to just abandon them.
As time continued to go on, Koharu had also come to make a decision. There was one final thing she had felt she denied her sister, and it was the chance for Chiyo to follow her dream. Because of this, Koharu decided she would pursue her late sister’s dream. With the help and support of her mother and her late sister’s boyfriend, Koharu was eventually scouted, and began on a track to live life to its fullest for herself and her family.

Ryunosuke Tsunashi
[ Boyfriend ]
Arguably one of the most important people in the world to her, Ryunosuke is one of Koharu's closest friends and the object of her affections. the two have known eachother since TRIGGERS easiest days and have valued and respected one another since the beginning of their relationship. Ryuu was initially somewhat afraid of Koharu given her image, but soon came to regard her as one of the kindest and most passionate people he would ever meet. Her gentle smile and open heart brought great amounts of joy to him, and he was happy to find that the business they were in did not corrupt everyone. In turn, Koharu appreciated Ryuu's bright, innocent and brotherly nature, finding comfort in his company and safety in his friendship. He reminded he what it was like to have someone around who really and truly cared simply for the sake of caring, becoming something of an idealized being to her. Soon, the feelings between the two started to sprout as something more than simply friends, and it was evident to those closest two them that the two were, in fact, hopelessly but confusedly in love with one another. They refused to admit this for a long time, however, and resorted to avoiding these sentiments as long as they could bury them, but began to struggle with this. in time and with the support of their friends, the two did manage to overcome the awkwardness between them, but were also faced with Koharu's fear of extreme attachments. however, Ryuu assured her he'd wait for her however long he needed to, inspiring her to give love a try once more. Outwardly, the two were very good at hiding their relationship, as to many, it seemed like nothing had changed. However, in the company of their closest friends, it was clear the two were in a much happier state and very affectionate with one another. Despite Koharu's reservations and Ryuu's inexperience, the pair proved to be very passionate about one another, and very gentle as a couple, bringing light into one another lives. The pair love their cuddles, and Koharu gets a great deal of joy out of teasing Ryuu to see just how far she could push him to his limit, and was surprised to find such loving passion behind him, discovering there might have been some truth to his image after all, but not entirely surprised due to his naturally (though possibly inadvertently) flirtatious nature. Koharu tends to be the forward one early on in their relationship, but the longer they are together, the more Ryuu begins to take charge and initiative after becoming comfortable with the woman's affections and reassured of his own abilities and her affections for him.
Hikaru Kirisaki
[ Partner ]
Koharu’s partner and best friend, Hikaru is one of the few people Koharu finds herself able to depend on in any situation. She adores Hikaru with her entire heart, and feels her enthusiasm and optimism to be some of that which helps Koharu keep moving forward every day. Koharu tends to be able to read her partner fairly easily, and uses this as a way not only to tease her, but defend and protect her as well, being able to play off one another in situations that call for it. One of Koharu’s greatest fears is dragging Hikaru down with her in her lackluster state of mind, fearing any harm that might come to her friend in retaliation for her own past and actions. Because of this, Koharu can be very protective of her partner, and is often found to be her first line of defense, often attacking those who would patronize or harass her in a way that made her feel down. She tries her best to keep Hikaru as uplifted as she can, and depends on her partner to do the same, appreciating her constant support. Despite not sharing a great deal of one another’s pasts with each other, they are well aware that they will always be there for one another should anything arise, and are constants in one another’s lives. Koharu is extremely supportive of Hikaru’s relationship with Sogo, and is happy to be able to watch it blossom, often coming to their defense and support when it’s needed. Koharu considers Hikaru to be the one person she would give up anything in a heartbeat if it meant protecting her partner and friend.
Katsumi Yasutake
[ Rival ]
A friend of Koharu’s from childhood, Katsumi grew to become somewhat resentful of Koharu over time. She viewed Koharu as somewhat selfish in her actions following her sister’s death, believing her to be taking for granted everything she had ever been given. Despite her beliefs that Koharu had become somewhat pretentious and whiney, it was hard for her to deny that Koharu still had a very big heart about her, and began to feel for the young woman as she started to struggle more and more with her harsh life situation and guilt. She came to understand that the two were not so different from one another, as Koharu tried to help Build up Katsumi’s faith in people once more. The two struggle, but try their best to become friends once again in time.
