Ash Swirls in River (usually goes by Ash) is a handsome, bluish-gray tom-cat with deep blue eyes and tips of white. He is missing his front left leg from the joint down. His fur is short and sleek.
- He can actually walk well, but a lot of his weight rests on his remaining front leg.

Ash Swirls in River was born as Ashes. When he was a young cat, he was a scout, but after stepping on a rusting piece of metal, his foot became infected and started spreading up the leg. Healers removed his leg, something he barely survived. He recovered, and switched to being a hunter, due to scouts having a difficult lifestyle. He is highly respected for his skill and intelligence. Because of this, his name was changed from Ashes to Ash Swirls in River (longer names often signal respect). He goes by Ash with his friends and family.
- He used to be a warriors OC, but is now no longer associated. His name was Ashswirl.

When a Night's Song's old mate died, he helped her raise North Wind, knowing she was frail. Eventually, they got together as mates and had their own litter together.
North Wind is his step son from Night's Song. Although he is not his biological son, he sees him no differently than his other children.
