Personality

Hana is a bubbly and bright personality. She brings an infectious energy to whatever room she's in. She cares deeply for her friends, and will do whatever she can to make sure everyone stays together. She's a romantic, and often has a fiction trope on hand to describe her or others' situations. (Like "Wow that's so childhood friends to lovers of you" and everyone's like what the hell are you saying?) Nyas mouth often works faster than her brain, and she may unintentionally say something rude without realizing she did that. Oops!
Hana cares a lot about the feelings of others, but sometimes neglects to put herself first. She thinks that her own issues might bring the mood down, so doesn't like bringing them up, even though she knows her friends would be there for her.
Nya is a huge gossip and can't keep a secret to save her life. She's very sociable, and is well known around campus, and manages to accumulate tons of info thanks to that. Nya always wants to know what's going on in other people's lives. (So she can talk about it with her friends...)

Background

Hana was born to a couple of high school sweethearts who are still in love all these years later. She has yearned for a love like theirs. Both her parents are creatives, nyas dad a writer, and her mom an artist. Together, they make children's books together. Because of their creative influence on her lives, Hana would go on to pick up drawing and writing, and would start making her own stories. She's written her fair share of fanfiction before moving on to creating stories involving OCs. Hana's creative endeavors have always been supported, but nya still worries that it won't be enough to make a future out of. Fortunately, she has parents and friends who are more than willing to pick her back up when she feels down about her art.
Hana was childhood friends with Clay, Aron, and Quinn. All four of them went to the same elementary school together. Throughout elementary, Hana harbored a big crush on Quinn. Unfortunately, Quinn always had eyes on someone else- Aron. (Hana never could see what she saw in him.)
In middle school, Hana came to the realization that she was trans. She'd come out to her friends first, particularly Clay, who understood these feelings the most (also on his way to a gender realization). She'd begin to socially transition in middle school, and with the help and acceptance of her parents, she'd start physically transitioning in high school.
Also in high school came her confession to Quinn. Just wanting to get it off her chest, Hana aired all her feelings, and to her surprise, Quinn reciprocated. The two, despite their ups and downs, have stayed together since.

Present

Following high school, Hana got accepted to an arts college where she's studying animation. Her and Quinn have been diligent in keeping up their relationship. Thankfully they haven't had to worry about long distance, with Quinn attending the local community college.
Hana is definitely feeling the pressures of college life, but she's grateful enough for the opportunity. She hopes to one day be able to create her own show where she can tell stories about characters who look like her.
