Marion
About
Marion works primarily as a gunslinger at a circus, although she does bounty hunting on the side (since fancy gun tricks ain't enough to feed herself and her horse!). During a circus performance, Marion accidentally aimed her rifle too high. She knew she wouldn't hit the red bullseye target that was hanging on stage, but the bullet curved downward and hit the center. To the untrained eye, the shot looked intentional, but Marion was shaken. Since then, any bullet fired from any gun she uses or any projectile thrown has a chance to curve - for better or worse. Marion is not a religious woman, but she carries a collection of trinkets and keychains representing various D&D deities, just in case one of them is secretly watching over her.

Notes
- Default outfit consists of a long-sleeved shirt of any color, gray jeans, stetson hat, leather gunbelt and holsters.
- Wears a heavy wool jacket in cold weather.
- Her circus performance outfit is literally Joan Crawford in Johnny Guitar.
- Themes (Marion): anything classic western (pistols, cowboy boots/hat, lasso)
- Themes (Bane): punk, studs, grease/oil, motorcycle maintenance tools, curving pebbles for fun
A DEADLY GUNSLINGER & SHOW WOMAN
Marion is outgoing and good natured, but not self sacrificing - she's willing to help others, but if there are any significant risks involved, there'd better be a reward at the end. She has few reservations about drawing her guns, be it for entertainment, bounty hunting, or self-defense.

Special Moves
Smoke and Mirrors
You may expend your special armor (one time use per encounter, no load) to resist harm from combat by appearing to die (fall off a vehicle, disappear in an explosion, etc.) only to reappear in a location of your choosing with a +1d to your next action.
Eastwood
BEFORE weapons are drawn, you may lock eyes with someone, forcing them to hesitate or flinch. Both of you know that you can interrupt whatever they do next. Take +1d for your next attack against them. (Does not work DURING combat after weapons are out.)
Lightning Nerves of Steel
When there's a question about who acts first, the answer is you.
Shepherd
You can push yourself to do one of the following: sway a crowd (even in the face of contradictory evidence) - cloud a target's mind - instill a powerful, undirected emotion in a target - stun a person with your mind or voice.
Bane
A strange power allows you to influence projectiles mid-flight. When you would miss with a projectile on a roll, you may instead choose to accept a mixed success with a worse position. (Ex. a Risky failure becomes a Desperate mixed success). This ability can be used to make otherwise impossible shots.
Summary
The Fine Strangers
Marion had no intention of joining the posse at first, but who was she to question fate? After rescuing an unconscious informant and a concussed woman from an exploding Amestrian train, she carried her wounded passengers to the only medic in town, where a few other unlucky patients were seeking treatment. There, the strangers were united by a single goal - to outrun the Amestrian soldiers that were hot on their trail.
Upon discovering a wanted poster featuring the notorious Whitehorn, whom Marion identified as the brother of a fellow member of the posse, her allegiance started to waver. She held little emotional attachment to her companions, and said brother was straining her patience. The appearance of her mysterious doppleganger, along with the enticing offers to pursue Whitehorn's bounty and develop her supernatural ability to curve projectiles, prompted her to part ways with the group.
Bane
Donec condimentum velit turpis, sed tincidunt nisl egestas eu. Vestibulum lorem neque, placerat id arcu a, commodo ultrices arcu. Etiam rhoncus a tellus eu faucibus. Duis egestas velit ac est fermentum efficitur. Quisque nec tincidunt ante, quis maximus augue. Integer sit amet suscipit ligula.
The Gunslinger
Idk if I'll ever finish writing this bio, but tl;dr - Marion backstabbed the posse, the irl player handed control of Marion to our DM (who was an absolute menace), and she used her Smoke and Mirrors ability to disappear at the end of the campaign whereas Bane was captured by the authorities.
Trivia
- Marion belongs to a circus run by a monk/martial artist named MCMC (Master of Ceremonies Master Chop).
- She owns a palomino horse (golden with white dappling) that has no name, or alternatively, is named "No Name."
- Her halberd-rifle was stolen from a captain of the Amestrian guard. It takes a full turn of combat to reload.
Relationships
Lepto
It is difficult to describe the feeling of being a bounty hunter and finding a wanted poster for a family member of your teammate, with a large bounty offered for their capture. When your teammate also starts becoming a bit of an asshole, the temptation to claim the bounty becomes nearly irresistible...
Zachary
The ever patient Zachary might be one of the few things holding Marion and Lepto together. Marion and Zachary have been on good terms ever since she taught Zachary how to handle a pistol, and Zachary has an excellent relationship with Lepto. The two certainly don't argue as much in the gentle apothecarist's presence.
