About

Deranged - Unpredictable - Impulsive - Obsessive

The absolutely feral leader of the Wolf Pack. Morally grey at the best of times, Wolf isn't the type of person you should ever let your guard down around. His childhood was mostly spent running barefoot around the small village of Wrystone, mud crusting on his threadbare clothes, a stolen apple in his pocket and a rusty knife gripped in his hand. It was his neglectful aunt who let him run wild at all hours of the day - but she was the lesser of two evils. His earliest years were spent with his father. As some saving grace, his young mind blocked out the vast majority of that trauma, and as an adult, he refuses to delve any deeper into the past. He doesn't even want to try. It's anyone's guess as to whether he was always this fucked up, or it was his childhood that helped shape him into the bloodthirsty, amoral killer he is now. Wolf has always had an unhealthy obsession with Cal Marín, his close childhood friend who later becomes the Deputy of Wrystone. He never let anyone so much as glance at Cal in the wrong way without a fight; and as adults, despite hating authority with a burning passion, he still won't let anyone touch him.

At 32 years old, he currently runs with the aptly-named Wolf Pack (a gang of outlaws) who make it their mission to terrorise Wrystone. The town never did anything for him. They turned a blind eye when he was a child. Only his friend Cal ever cared. Luckily, his gang respects him enough to leave Cal to Wolf, upon specific request; and they're aware that Wolf would lose any remainder of his sane mind if anyone touched the man but him. Despite their extreme difference in morality, the pair often strike ridiculous and dangerous deals to get each other out of trouble. It could be classed as a symbiotic relationship, each feeding off the other and working with the enemy to get what they want.

Likes

Calimero... perhaps a little too much

Obsession would be putting it lightly. Cal grounded him as a child, and will always be the only thing he's living for. He wants to have him, completely.

Hunting

A lack of empathy towards animals is a significant indicator that someone could have psychopathic tendencies. This someone definitely has psychopathic tendencies. He thoroughly enjoys ripping the skin from rabbits and the smell of freshly charred flesh.

Teamwork

Ironically, he feels strongly enough about the members of the Wolf-Pack to use them to his advantage. Strength in numbers. Don't find yourself alone and stranded. He believes that wolves work best when hunting law enforcement as a group, but his exception will always be when regarding Cal. That man belongs to him, god help anyone else who tries to touch him.

The act of giving and receiving pain

Partially rooted in sado-masochism, partially rooted in the burning rage he constantly feels. Might have a form of MSbP, since he likes to inflict pain not only on enemies, but also on Cal and himself; he wants the attention, the reactions from Cal's pain and the sensation of being hurt.

Dislikes

The law knowing his location

Staying in one place for too long causes Wolf anxiety; he knows that the law could catch up to him and bring him in for his sentence. Better to be paranoid than unprepared. Whilst he has been in prison multiple times before, these are mostly the work of Calimero, who can't bring himself to sentence his friend - and by the time he's mustered up his iron will, Wolf has escaped and the judgement has been made for him.

Anyone looking down on him

He cannot fucking stand the self-important pricks who make up the vast majority of the law enforcement. He can't fathom the level of delusion that invites a man to play god. Simply by joining the higher authorities, you earn yourself a place on Wolf's hitlist. (AKA do not call him bro)

Peaceful solutions that don't resolve anything

He's horrified by the amount of Peace Treaties signed as a government ploy, as a false sense of security for the downtrodden and weak. Wolf wants a guarantee that he will be taken seriously, which more often than not, requires he make himself into a threat.

Seeing children hurt

It makes him seethe seeing an orphan punished over a stolen scrap of food. He never wants kids of his own, but he'll kill a man on the street for raising his hand against a child.

Extra

Usually seen absolutely drenched in blood

Having little to no social perception, Wolf does his killing and hunting unpredictably, then settles in for the night in the very same clothes. He thinks it smells nice - no matter how old the blood is.

Wants to watch the world burn

Full of spite and hatred. The world hurt him and he wants to return the favour. He knows he'll never get his innocence back, so he has no idea how to heal in any other way.

Doesn't like cutting his hair & takes good care of it

Despite what the dried blood and copious amount of dirt on his clothes would imply, Wolf's hair is actually very well maintained. In the back of his mind, he knows it's something to do with bodily autonomy - and he won't let anyone touch it except Cal. In his deepest memories, he remembers people being kind to him and complimenting his hair. Perhaps that's another reason why he likes to keep it long and pretty.

Heavily involved in gang warfare

Wolf has no moral compass, and will seek out any reason to start a fight. Whether it be against law enforcement, despising his cruel actions and looking to protect both their townsfolk and their pride - or against other gangs who have stepped unsuspectingly onto his terf.

Calimero Marín

Rival / Obsession

Wolf wants Cal to himself, and he isn't afraid to admit it. The pair have known each other for a long, long time, growing up in the same village and running around the muddy streets barefoot together. It was always Walker who got them into trouble - and always Cal to get them out again. The strange, white-haired boy stuck to him like a shadow, living with reckless abandon and carelessly projecting that onto his friend. Cal was happy to accompany him. They used to steal away at night to the highlands, scaling the grassy cliffs and mountains which surrounded Wrystone, scraping up their knees and palms as they dug their fingers into the dirt. As the sun rose, they sat and watched it, high above all the sleepy people of the town. As soon as it had risen, they would have to scrabble back down as fast as they could. Cal always felt it was a little unfair that he got told off so badly by his father - Walker's aunt didn't seem to care where he was, and he never got beaten for staying out late. Walker was a wild card, often starting fights with the other kids and dragging Cal into it, turning it into a proper scrap and usually ending them both with crosshatch of bruises and cuts. Cal was mad about that. Walker was stronger than him and he knew that Cal couldn't hold his own as well as he could. It wasn't fair. But then they would go and steal some apples together, just the two of them, and everything would be okay again. Fastforward ten years, and the pair's paths had diverged significantly; the scars along Walker's face were from angry opposing gang members, whilst Cal's scars were all from criminals and degenerates that had failed to escape the law. Cal's father, the Sheriff, had cracked down hard on his son, and there wasn't much room left for petty theft and bar fights after that. As a young adult, Calimero had no choice but to uphold the law as an abiding citizen, distancing himself from his crazy friend and refusing to engage with his stupid stunts. Without Cal as a guiding light, Walker turned to darker enterprises, and the young man began to see less and less of him in the coming years. It was only when he recognised his friend's face on a wanted poster for five hundred dollars that he realised just how bad it had become. Upon learning that Walker had formed his own gang of ne'er-do-wells and vagrants, Cal wondered if he had done the right thing breaking their friendship off. He grew up with this man, yet he wasn't able to contain him; Walker did what he wanted and didn't care the cost. His morality was skewed beyond repair. Since then, Cal hasn't been able to quite shake Walker's presence in his life; following his deputisation, it became his duty to track down the Wolf Pack to keep his town safe, and since then, they have no choice but to cross paths more frequently again. Obsessive, ruthless and goal-driven, Walker Wright isn't the type of man you'd want to be up against, but Cal seems to see it as a welcome challenge. Unfortunately though, somewhere down the line in their tumultuous relationship, Walker developed an obsession with Cal, calling him 'his kitty' and dubbing him with the matching nickname 'Kit'. Cal doesn't yet grasp the extent to which he preocupies Walker's crazed mind, but this was a troubling development which didn't go unnoticed. Cal knows that he's killed many innocent men and will continue to do so as long as he has the freedom to. Someone has to stop him, and it can only be him. He doesn't trust anyone else to do it. Despite their extreme difference in morality, the pair often strike ridiculous and dangerous deals to get each other out of trouble. It could be classed as a symbiotic relationship, each feeding off the other and working with the enemy to get what they want. Whenever he can, Walker still goes out of his way to get Cal alone; in the end, Walker's goal will, and has always been, Cal. That's all he wants. And he isn't going to give up.

Alejandro Valentino

Enemy

Alejandro ran with the Wolf Pack for a brief time. It ended curtly as Ale fled South, alone, for a lucrative but shady job offer which Wolf couldn't tell the validity of. He couldn't deny that Ale played a valuable role in the gang, with the young man being reckless, courageous and strong. It made him furious that he left without a word. Wolf didn't hear from until years later, rumours implying that El León del Oro was now running with a flame-haired bounty hunter by his side. Believing there to be an unresolved dispute between himself and Alejandro, Wolf begins to track the man down himself. When Wolf realises that Ale was the kid who slept with Cal's step-mother all those years ago, there's a whole new surge of rage that runs through him. Wolf manages to find the pair and kidnaps Levi to use him as a ransom for Ale. Luckily for Lev, Ale comes to rescue him (with the very begrudging help of Calimero).
