Ruby's the fourth sibling in the line of the seven, being younger than Opal but older than Jade. Possessing a heart of gold and a fiery passion, Ruby is a happy-go-lucky person that makes everyone smile wherever she goes. She finds herself working in a mining firm filled with miserable, underpaid workers. Her passion for working and overall cheery disposition gives the workers more motivation, and she grows to call them family, and this mining town is a sort of home-away-from-home for her.

Her emerald, the red emerald, gives her enhanced stamina and heat immunity, letting her mine near or in lava indefinitely and get many rare materials, thereby netting in tons of cash for her fellow workers. She's also got an ability that she refers to as "Heat Drill", which lets her create a flaming drill around herself using chaos energy.
