The mage/sorcerer for a fantasy story i'm writing. Like many characters in this story, her name (and design) are subject to change. As are the names of those related to her in her backstory. Originally she started off as much more Tsundere, but now, she's more generally naive and childish, with a bit of an Oujou flair.

As of now, she's 19 years old, but that too may fluctuate a bit in the future.

Backstory (again, details are subject to change):

Mabin is the distant decendant of Ornsjir the Hermit, an ancient dragon from an age gone by. She was also raised by said dragon in his very, very isolated castle for pretty much the entirety of her life.

Her parents died when she was young. How and why they died, and how and why she got put into Ornsjir's care? She doesn't know. However, her earliest memories are of the dragon doing his best to fumble through raising a human child, and their relationship has always been very loving. Ornsjir, with the help of the bulter, a Faerie Dragon named Ahmik, did his best, teaching Mabin how to read and write and do magic and research and honestly all things considered things went really well. Ornsjir was already an avid scholar and experimenter on his own, and Mabin seemed to have that same drive for knowledge in her veins, and took to it very well. A little too well.

Mabin had an unsatiable curiosity and desire to know how and why things are the way they are. So naturally, she took to studies of both the Arcane and of History. And while Ornsjir was totally fine with her aptitude in the former, he was not a fan of her constant questions into the history of the castle and into his own past. It wasn't that he thought the desire itself was disagreeable, but rather, it seemed, at least in her eyes, as if there was something specific he didn't want her to know about the past of the castle and of the dragon himself. He did his best to distract her with a grand library full to the brim with historical texts on lands far outside the castle's vision, hoping to turn her curiosity somewhere else. Which too backfired, as it gave her a strong desire to see the world and study it herself, something he would not allow her to do (since she had 0 experience with human contact and would probably get eaten alive, at
least in his eyes). He had an overprotective streak, basically.

Outside of these tensions though, everything was fine until one day, a group of adventurers, who happened to be on a completely different quest in a castle in a totally different land, ended up accidentally teleporting into the castle when the Wizard's teleport spell went totally wrong. The Wizard was about to teleport them all back to their original destination when Mabin walked up upon them, which startled the Wizard, which led to him accidentally teleporting HER instead to some town in a strange land, leaving her lost and alone. In a way, she got what she wanted, and was elated... until she realized that due to her lack of knowledge of her home castle and where it was (or even what it would be properly called), she had no idea how to get home. Whoops.

Luckily, the innkeeper at the town was nice enough to let her stay while she got her bearings. After doing a few weeks worth of minor work to get enough gear to go adventuring, she started to set out in search of a way to get home.

Personality:

Mabin is an adult, with an adult body, curves and all. However, due to her general naivete and the way she dresses accordingly she often gets confused with an older teenager.

Mabin is, in one word, naive. She is very, VERY naive, due to having been raised basically in solitued with only two dragons, books, and some of the local wildlife for company. However, she is in turn very knowledgable in matters of history and magic due to having only two dragons, books, and some of the local wildlife for company. Don't be surprised if she comes across an ancient church and is able to discern when and why it was built based on what style of crenelations decorate the thing but doesn't know what whiskey is. She's similarly a bit clueless in social situations, but her appearance and soft voice tend to neutralize this aspect and make her more charming than annoying to most strangers.

Despite her naivety, she acts a lot more like a proper and prim lady (though she gets easily excited and turns childish when something that interests her shows up). She's very soft spoken usually, often referring to people in terms of "sir" and "ma'am", as her butler properly taught her to do. She often courtseys to say hello and goodybe, and has an almost princess-like air around her. Which, considering how her father treated her like the princess and treasure of his life, makes sense. Again though, when faced with frustration or excitement, her childishness begins to shine through. And due to her naivety, she often finds herself in trouble or accidentally hurting people's feelings not because she's trying to, but because she just doesn't know any better. Thankfully she knows a small amount of self defence combat for when things get too rough. And having her bulter with her at all times helps a lot too. And yet, she still finds herself getting into trouble.

Thankfully, being with the other members of the Party gives her a bit more of a safety net when dealing with all of that.

Misc:

She's an average cook. Nothing great, but she knows magic and science and can apply enough of that to cooking to make it edible. Her draconic ancestry doesn't really show in her appearance in any obvious way. But there are little things here and there that give her a slight sense of otherworldliness when people look at her. It's little things, not enough to really trigger any real questioning outside of the most perceptive of eyes, but enough to make someone think "there's something different about that one" if they pay attention enough. In dark situations, her eyes end up more reflective than normal due to the way they absorb light differently than in normal humans. Similarly, her skin is rather pale, but this is less due to the ancestry (though it does play a part) and more due to growing up in a mountainous, cold environment. Her 2.0 design actually started out as a pathfinder creator I made by fusion-dancing Priscilla and Squiggly together, and then I fell in love with her and realized this personality and character fit the role I wanted Mabin 1.0 to fit in the story a lot better than Mabin 1.0 did.
