born 9/18/2021 within the caves of star falls. scoutstar happens across his mother, magpiethroat, and the two bring he and his sister back to camp.
had an average kithood until he was 3 moons old, when magpiethroat left the clans.
he is taken to the daylight gathering by his grandmother redpath where he meets duckpaw, the timberclan steward apprentice.
is apprenticed alongside his sister, heronpaw, at 6 moons old. his mentor is iceshadow. he attends his first gathering and is excited to meet scoutstar, who gifts him a toy mouse. said mouse becomes a part of his skirmish set and is named mousewhisker.
after this gathering, redpath pulls he and heronpaw aside and explains to them the battle of little pond. during this battle, magpiethroat and martenstorm, two of their parents, murdered an innocent timberclan cat after the death of magpiethroat's little brother, flurrypaw. this cat, wildsong, happens to be the parent of duckpaw. catnippaw becomes withdrawn and angry, but iceshadow is able to help him work through his feelings slowly.
