Summary

Jason grew up in Bataan with a conservative family. His family brought him to church every Saturday and even though Jason befriended a lot of the kids, he always forgot their names and even forgot they were friends, which made it difficult to keep his friends around. This was the case for him in school, however in Grade 2, he made a frenemy. Jason doesn't remember how it exactly started, but he and his classmate, Victor, got a kick out of teasing and making fun of each other. Even though they fight a lot, they would partner up with each other in group projects. Later, Jason found out Victor goes to the same church, and instead of being cordial with each other, they fight like they always do in school, though their parents and others think their bickering is cute and assumed they're friends.

One day, Jason and Victor were arranging seats told by their church teacher, and they argued again. When Jason pointed at something with his lips, Victor suddenly kissed him. The two stood silently for a minute, until Jason realized Victor stole his first kiss and got angry at him. After the incident, Jason and Victor weren't arguing like the usual. Their churchmates were concerned and thought something serious had happened, but after church, Jason pulls Victor somewhere private. Jason then asked Victor if they can kiss again, and Victor declines at first, but Jason reminded him that he was the one who kissed him in the first place, and that he knew what Jason meant when he was pointing with his lips. Victor didn't argue back, and the two shared their second kiss in church.

Time passed by and everything seemed normal again. Victor soon moved to Canada and Jason wasn't in contact with him anymore. The two didn't even add each other on social media, and Jason was too scared to even do it. He didn't want to admit that he enjoyed Victor's presence and because the two of them said they aren't friends to people, Jason was worried about being rejected. He didn't want to admit his positive feelings about Victor, and even when Victor moved out, he didn't try to get in contact with him. Jason regretted this until he graduted high school. Jason wanted to move to Canada for university and was excited to move to another country. When he went to Canada, he started living with his cousin and moved into the same university with his cousin.

Jason managed to make new friend and was able to feel comfortable in his own skin. He stopped caring about people's judgements of him and despite the stressful schoolworks, he was able to enjoy his university life. Three years passed by and Jason suddenly ran into a familiar face. Victor, his frenemy and his first love, was in the same university. Jason felt incredibly awkward meeting him again and cut his conversation with Victor short. However, their friends knew each other and would invite the two of them to hang out, so Jason and Victor kept seeing each other until Victor asked Jason how he was doing. The two catch up with each other and when Jason brings up their first kiss, Victor got flustered and the two started bickering again.

After the hangout, Jason asks for Victor's contact info and the two continue to get in touch. Jason felt weird but he was happy to have Victor back in his life again. Before he knew it, he started developing romantic feelings for him again and they even started joking with each other by flirting. Later, Victor tells him that if they're going to be like this, they should start dating. Jason agrees without hesitation and the two finally start dating.
