Jack is someone who was always fascinated by the supernatural and the unknown. There's nothing he loves more than a cryptic message, unknown creature, and a good conspiracy. He's so dedicated to mystery solving that he became a (self proclaimed) paranormal investigator, travelling the world over to document and understand the unknowable.
Jack is incredibly passionate about the things and people he loves but struggles to connect to others outside of his love for the supernatural, given how much of his life he dedicates to it. Since his journey is mainly focused on understanding and documenting the unusual he can often find himself being sucked into theory crafting and overanalysing to try and better understand the things he's dealing with.

Jack grew up distant from his family and peers, living at a catholic boarding school for most of his life and just staring to realise his own queerness.
He first meets Gabriel, as far as he knew anyway, towards the end of his school life and they quickly became inseperable. The two have been on their journey investigating odd phenomena for years before the others join.
While on their journey Jack and Gabriel slowly end up picking up the others. First Lucifer, then Raphael and Michael. And it's... Awkward at first. But they all ultimately have the same goal and working together benefits them all.
While journeying they end up getting into all sorts of chaotic nonsense and grow closer for it. The five all learn to lean on one another, they're each others home.
While investigating an abandoned hospital Jack is caught off guard by a creature known as The Glade... And ends up dying to it. By Raphael's suggestion the other four use pieces of themselves to put him back together and bring him back to life.
Things change after his revival. Jack, now very aware of his own fragility and mortality, struggles to adapt. He's afraid. But he has the others to rely on and comfort him.
