The One Who Wishes To Carry the Burden

It didn't take much for Adrian and Cassandra Blackwell to see that their eldest son (Dante) craved a younger sibling. With the way the man looks longingly out towards siblings and his constant rambling of wanting one, how could they ignore it? What they weren't expecting was Dante to turning to look at them one day (while in the middle of studying) and asking them when they were going to eventually do the do and give him a sibling. It certainly didn't help that at the time...Cass was pregnant and was intending on telling his son that day. It was...a bit awkward to say the least. Regardless, after months after confrontation, Cass would give birth to Dante's younger brother: Ashton.
Ashton's life was about what you expected. He was taught what it means to be a prince and the duties that came with it. While he wasn't dealing with the stress his brother went through, he still had standards to meet. Frankly, Ashton was fine with this. Unlike his brother, Ashton enjoyed that organization and formality that came with being a prince. Perhaps it was the fact that he saw it as a opporunity to get more praised and loved out of his people. Perhaps it was the fact that he was a very oganization person. Perhaps it was the fact that he carried that dream of being king. It was no secret that Ashton was jealous by the fact his brother was next in line for the throne. He knew he didn't care for ruling. Ashton dreamed of taking over for him since he wanted what was best for Rikras. The happiness of his people was something he craved since they did so much. After all, you can't have a kingdom without the people in it.
He was hoping that the nature of taking over as ruler didn't become so messy when Dante left Ferox. He knew it was only a matter of time before Adrian did something to bring Dante so much rage. However, he never thought that he would consider a arranged marriage as the reason why. Honestly, it was something that he would grow worry of as later on...he would find himself smitten by a guild member. He found himself questioning what would happen if his father found out the truth of their relationship and how he would react. Would he attempt to stop their relationship? It was unclear. What Ashton does know is that his father has been helping him when it comes to studying what it means to be a king. He has been taking to them well. It was quite enlghtening. Years would past and his studies would become a tad bit complicated...when he learns his brother returned to Ferox and his father finds out. Things are gonna quite messy, and Ashton is not looking forward to it.
