The One With Golden Heart
"If I'm not perfect, are my parents right when they tell me I'm just...inferior?"
The Blackwell Family was a family akin to Hawthorne Family. They were a family that seemed almost flawless with achievements that makes the Kingdom of Rikras proud. The Blackwell Family is the longest and oldest royal family to be in power and has been around since the creation of the kingdoms themselves. As such, they are a very well-respected family that Adrian has the priviledge to be born under. Though...he would argue that he found it to be quite the curse. Adrian was the youngest member of the Blackwell Family that was never really considered to be the heir of the throne. He did have two older siblings, and his golden fur was quite a oddity. As such, he was quite the rowdy pup that always got himself in trouble a lot to the annoyance of his parents. However, he was forced to face the reality that he would take over when his older brother would vanish, and his oldest sister died to some illness. His freedom would be torn from him as he would be forced to focus on his studies to be king.
Despite his anger, he did not fight his parents. In a way, he thought that this was his chance to finally get their love and affection after being ignored. In a way...he got it though it came at the cost of being judged. He would receive the occasional snark about his scars and nagged if his behavior was subpar. He would be freed from that judgment when he would take over ruling Rikras..though these insults would haunt him in the form of instrusive thoughts. Years would past before he would meet a woman named Cassandra. At the time, she was the commandant of Ferox. She was charismatic and made him swoo with her compliments. Despite his parents annoyance, he would fall in love with her and ramble to her about the things he internalized. It wouldn't be long before they confessed their feelings for one another and become married. Cassandra would become the queen and slowly help rule Rikras. It took a lot of stress of him.
Through the years, they would have four kids: Dante, Ashton, Isabelle and Miles. Adrian will admit that Cassandra has to make sure he gave their kids the freedom they enjoyed while also balancing their roles as prince/princesses of the Blackwell Family. After all, Adrian was too used to hearing the teaching of his parents that it sorta rubbed off of him. It would be when he set up a arranged marriage between Dante and Gael that he finally got a understanding of how much his parents truly messed with him. With Dante attacking him for what he done and running away, the dread of being a horrible father hangs within him even decades after the incident. With the reapparance of his son, Adrian finds himself questioning what in the hell he can do to get his family back together.
