Abilities

Fighting

Cinderdust was taught a bastard form of battle which hybridizes rogue and warrior tactics. However, she only had about a moon of this training, and when push comes to shove she isn’t the best at following through with it. Though she is perfectly adept at fighting, she’s nothing compared to her first mentor.

Manipulation

Cinderdust has had many many moons of learning exactly how to manipulate those she needs to. She was taught by the best herself, the rogue lieutenant, and has over time learned to read others and take everything she can to use to her advantage. This is most primarily evident in her manipulation of her ‘false mate’. However, she can be transparent about what she’s doing and if there’s someone particularly versed in social behaviors, she is able to be seen through.

Strength

For all her flaws, there is one thing that cannot be argued with against Cinderdust. She is an incredibly large, muscular, intimidating cat. There are few who could ever hope to challenge her in sheer, unadulterated strength, and although she doesn’t really know how to use it she can be incredible to watch.

Relationships

Ashblaze

Cousin/Mentor

Ashblaze is the daughter of Cinderdust’s uncle, Shadowfang. She was also chosen to mentor the young cat.

Cinderdust started off being simply intrigued by the mysterious and rather hated warrior, and over time grew to absolutely adore and almost worship her. After her mother disowned her from the family, Cinderdust, then Cinderpaw, took to viewing Ashblaze as more than just a mentor, as more of a mother figure. She was absolutely devastated when Ashblaze’s life ended.

Rick

Mate

Rick is Cinderdust’s true mate and the father of her kits, though their relationship is rocky through much of her story.

Cinderdust, wholly and truly, loves Rick, and this is why after they fight, she cannot bear to continue seeing him. She originally takes her false mate to punish him, but quickly hates herself for that decision. She only maintains that secondary relationship to protect her kittens and Rick, all of whom would have been killed if he was discovered. After she loses most of her sanity, he stands by her, and she truly continues to love him, even after her sense of the world fades.

Juno

Mother in Law

Juno is the mother of Rick, and the grandmother of Cinderdust’s kittens. She acts as a sort of teacher and role model for Cinderdust after Ashblaze dies, rather taking on the brunt of the mother figure role.

Juno is no pretty queen who sits by and looks pretty. She is the most notorious, infamous cat in their known world, and this is why Cinderdust takes so strongly to her after Ashblaze dies. Not only was Juno able to explain Ashblaze’s seemingly erratic and uninformed decisions, she was able to then teach Cinderdust about why Ashblaze had done what she did, and provide Cinderdust with tools and tricks to help her survive in a world that did not want her.

Echostep

False Mate

Echostep is Cinderdust’s ‘false mate’. As far as he is concerned, he is her one and only, and the father of her kits. In reality, she has never and will never love him, she only took him as her mate to punish Rick and kept him around to protect the identity of her kits.

Cinderdust hates Echostep with a passion. She can fake loving him, but it’s only so effective, and the only reason he can buy it is that he’s so infatuated with her he can’t see past her weak facade. He simply adores Cinderdust, and each and every one of her kittens, and doesn’t even question the fact that not one kitten looks like him [or really even her]. He loves blindly, and she capitalizes on this to create the perfect ‘family’ to defend her loved ones.
