A quiet and reserved sort who radiates a very dignified and mature aura. Cordelia spends much of her time cooped up within the confines of her home, The Haunted Manor, where hardly a soul dares to visit. She prefers it that way, and although her very composed facade suggests otherwise, Cordelia is actually frightened of the world outside of the Kuroshi Forest (where the manor is located) and isn't very keen on ever leaving. Her fears stem from her upbringing; she was born in a village infamous to all who were considered "unfortunate" enough to not reside within, a place where only the most pedigree and proper of Strudels thrived called Opalescent Village. She was the daughter of the village's mayor and was ostracized by the other snooty children because of this fact. As a youth, she had always been on the quiet side, a person who really only speaks when spoken to and not of any particular volition. Her parents weren't too fond of this, wanting their daughter to showcase more confidence and authority, but they loved her all the same. They were demanding, however, trying to create their image of a pristine child out of her. They especially harbored a disdain towards the girl's bangs, which she always kept covering her eyes. Cordelia wouldn't ever confess WHY she wears them that way to anyone, not even her friends later down in life, but she wouldn't relent with how she wore them nonetheless. The truth is, Cordelia is actually a bit shy and meek and feels 'shielded', in a sense, when other people can't see her eyes. Eyes are the windows to the soul, after all, and as long as nobody can stare into her "soul", Cordelia feels as though she can remain composed. Her parents, and the other villagers for that matter, often told horrid tales of monsters that roamed the world of Midveil outside the village. There were many types of 'monsters', but none worse than tricksters. Although Cordelia always believed tricksters to be folklore just to scare children into behaving, it still filled her with unease at how passionately furious her father seemed when he spoke of them. When she became one after leaving her village to find a filling, getting lost and starving, she fled into the wild out of complete fear over how the village, mainly her parents would react if they saw her. Ever since her transformation Cordelia sought to ostracize herself from the world, believing herself to be a monster.

Cordelia is sort of like 'a stone wall' in a sense that she's not easy to read in the slightest. Many who meet her find her intimidating upon first impression because it's difficult to get an idea on how she feels towards them what with her constantly covered eyes and her lips always drawn into a straight line. She's introspective and never wears her heart on her sleeve, so to speak. She always takes the time to properly form an opinion of someone before judging them, however. She's a bit of a deadpan sort too and can be oblivious to jokes/general humor which can also distance herself from others. Another point to add is that Cordelia is not much a conversationalist in a general sense and a discussion with her can be very short-lived unless she's either very comfortable with who she's talking to or talking about a hidden passion. Despite her icy sort of exterior, Cordelia sports a bit of a motherly side of her and actually enjoys taking care of others. This is very prevalent within the manor as she always spends much of her time cooking and cleaning (almost to the point where it might be seen as some kind of escapism, likely from her inner stress.) Once Echo enters her life, an anxious trickster who stumbles across the manor by chance, Cordelia takes it upon herself to care for her. Despite thinking of herself as a monster, Cordelia doesn't view other tricksters as such in the slightest. (In fact, it's the strudels she fears and their opinions.) Echo becomes very important to her as the first Midveiler she could truly call a friend, and even though Cordelia is only older than her by a few years, her feelings towards her are somewhat maternal in nature. Cordelia isn't one to easily break her cool on the outside, but if anything were to endanger Echo she would show a side to her that not a single soul has ever seen. Echo helps Cordelia out in her own ways too, living with the other trickster has slowly taught Cordelia to have confidence in herself...and through Echo's encouragement, Cordelia has been able to open herself up towards others in small increments. When Echo makes friends with other Midveilers who reside within Kuroshi, Cordelia is initially a bit jealous, but over time she eventually becomes close to these other Midveilers too. As time passes she eventually meets a strudel by the name of Alice, who was the first 'normal' midveiler she had met since fleeing from home. (As much as Cordelia loves the other strudels in her life, she doesn't consider Carmella, Elvira or Angstonio as 'normal' strudels since they're more or less social outcasts too.) Alice is the one who gives Cordelia that last push, convincing her to step out into the world beyond the forest. Cordelia would eventually grow fanciful of her over time, and although she grows to no longer fear the outside world as much she still considers the Haunted Manor as her home and has no current plans on moving elsewhere. Her new goal, however, is to make the manor more approachable so that anyone who happens to stumble upon it will feel inclined to visit and that Cordelia can help take care of them, and meet Midveilers from all walks of life. (Note: out of all those who live in the Kuroshi Forest, Cordelia seems to be the most knowledgeable of it, she knows that countless Midveilers die due to the forest's curse towards those it deems 'impure of heart' and secretly hopes she can help those who get lost somehow.)

Asides from cooking and cleaning, Cordelia loves to read and is completely enamored with books and the worlds within them. She's a trickster with a thirst for knowledge and will prefer to read books that teach her about the world she lives in and the wonders it contains. As such, even though she's never actually explored the world much or interacted with it, she knows quite a bit about it due to her voracious reading. Initially, before Echo came along, books were the only company Cordelia had and she would read through all the ones that the manor provided her with. After meeting Elvira and co., her horizons were able to expand as she was able to get the strudels to buy her newer reads from the nearby city. She was also delighted to uncover all the texts and scrolls located in the shack Elvira resided in. After their time at the magic school together, Elvira and Cordelia grew close and the two often get together to read through and practice some of the archaic texts in those scrolls. Cordelia desires to uncover the secrets hidden within the world, and although she doesn't express it often she's particularly curious about the Kuroshi Forest itself as well as Carmella (Echo's girlfriend who has amnesia) and her missing memories. The trickster, being quite astute, feels as though the two are linked somehow, but isn't sure how to proceed with her assumptions due to the dangerous nature of the forest.
