Nico Honma (Hong Hairong)

Hong Hairong is the middle son of a lesser noble family. His family is only a few generations established following his grandfather's distinguishment as a soldier. Determined to make a name for himself and raise the status of his family, young and naively ambitious Hairong has come to the capital to join the Royal Army and follow in his mighty grandfather's steps.

When he gets there, he immediately spots the Grand General, the legendary Wu Zun of the esteemed miltary Wu family, and it becomes his goal to gain his favor and impress him the only way he knows how... to challenge him! Young Hairong is put in his place over and over, but his natural lightheartedness towards the widely revered (feared ?) Wu Zun endears the young warrior to the general.

But as Hairong's plan to establish himself as an invaluable lieutenant of the Grand General takes root, so too do complicated and confusing feelings between the two.
