Marcus has a carefree attitude and is seen as a spoiled brat, especially since his father let him have the position of CEO in his company. However, Marcus is respected by many of the employees, since he actually took his job seriously and cleans himself up for work. However, he still shows this carefree attitude around the employees and is friendly with them.

A certain employee also caught his interest, even though he wasn't the only serious employee in his company. This employee made Marcus want to tease him more, even in public. Even though it seems like he's making fun of him, Marcus was genuinely interested in him. Despite his laid-back demeanor, Marcus is a romantic person.

Marcus grew up with an average family, who are neither rich or poor. He has five siblings and is the third oldest child. His parents were stingy with money and thanks to that, Marcus is very careful on what he spends money on. Marcus's school life was average and made some great friends. However, he couldn't stand the adults since he didn't like how incredibly strict they are. He wasn't breaking every rule in the book, but he got fed up with the smallest offense such as not buttoning his shirt up all the way, even though he wasn't showing too much skin. Before Marcus knew it, his parents started earning more money and they got rich.

Marcus and his family got to enjoy the privilege they didn't have, and Marcus's father even created his own company. Marcus and his siblings were trained under the company and as they got older, Marcus's eldest sibling decided to move to Australia, while the second oldest went to medical school. Due to Marcus's loyalty to the company, Marcus's father decided that he should take over the company next. Many years passed by and due to health reasons, Marcus's father had to step down. Like he promised, he made Marcus the CEO.

Marcus was already well known by the other employees in the company and were incredibly supportive of Marcus being the next CEO. They knew how much Marcus worked hard for the company, and while they're aware of how much privilege he has, the fact that Marcus actually does his job well makes them respect him a lot. When a certain employee decided to work overtime and correct mistakes other employees have made, Marcus took interest in him. While he wasn't the first employee to do that, Marcus couldn't help but remember the butterflies he felt when they conversed with each other that night.

As cliche as it sounds, Marcus could feel the chemistry between them. Before Marcus knew it, he started teasing and flirting with Evan more to the point where Evan stormed into his office, asking him what his deal is. Marcus loves how direct Evan is, not caring about who's the boss. Immediately, Marcus tells him "Go on a date with me".
