Evan is a serious hardworker who gets work done fast. He's considered as a model employee yet not many people in the company look up to him. However, this doesn't faze Evan, as this was how he's always been treated throughout his life. People don't care about knowing him personally, except his boss.

Evan doesn't open up easily due to his past toxic friendships. He's careful on who he relies on and only has a few friends. He was already warned by his close friends about how gossip goes around in office spaces, so Evan is extremely careful. Evan doesn't get lonely easily and when he does feel lonely, he goes to his orange tabby cat Salmon for comfort.

Evan grew up with a well-off Christian family. Even though he loves his parents, he and his older sister aren't comfortable relying on them for emotional support, since their only response would be to pray to God. Evan's school life wasn't extraordinary or interesting, but he was friends with people who never looked out for him. Being with them felt like walking on eggshells, and Evan was happy to graduate high school. He slowly stopped talking to them and unfollowed or unfriended them when they stop talking for a month. He was more than happy to cut ties with those people.

Evan never went to college and instead took many jobs in his adulthood. Before he knew it, he started earning more money and didn't have to ask his parents for allowance anymore. He moved out of his home at age 22 and adopted a pet cat after settling in his new home. Evan knows how to manage his time well and finish work fast, though there were times where his only friends had to tell him to stop because Evan would forget to eat. He was teased for remembering to feed his cat but not himself.

Evan ended up working in a company that was recommended by his friend. Due to Evan's resume, he was immediately hired and did incredibly well in his job. However, when the company's CEO was replaced by the CEO's son, Evan's life started to change drastically. Evan had conversed with the CEO and got along with him, but one day the CEO Marcus suddenly walked by and said "Thanks for tonight, you were so good." Flustered, Evan immediately said to the office that he was only doing papers for him. However, Evan's coworkers don't believe him and think they actually have an intimate relationship, thus accusing Evan of being favored by the CEO, since he often had to do overtime and was praised highly by executives.

Fed up, Evan storms into the CEO's office, not caring about the fact that he's his boss and asks him what his deal is. Marcus flat out asked him to go on a date with him. Evan ended up accepting and surprisingly, the date turned out to be wholesome. All they did was have dinner at a fancy restaurant and have a movie night at Evan's place. Later they started going out on dates more and before Evan knew it, they're now lovers. Marcus walks by him again, saying something suggestive and Evan's coworkers expect him to deny immediately, but they were shocked to see Evan look down and blush.
