Milk was created by an Ada. Not that Milk really gives this much thought. Milk and Cookie have known each other since the moment they 'woke up', and they haven't left each other's side. They trust each other more then anything else in this strange world.
Milk has a hard time connecting with the other strange creatures in this brand new world. Milk can't help it. Well, they could-doesn't mean they will! Milk is blunt-sometimes painfully so. Milk tends to come across as rude due to their dry sense of self and low empathy towards those they don't really know.
This all changes when it comes to Cookie though. Milk is very affectionate towards Cookie and does almost anything she asks. Milk is sometimes a little too protective of Cookie though-pushing others away in fear these strangers might hurt her.
Milk really just wants the world to leave them and Cookie alone. Is that so much to ask for?
