CAE March 2023 - Team Skeptics
(aka i don't vibe with the theme and spectating but still want to kILL-)
General Notes:
- I'm happy for my characters to be interpreted as you please! Just please keep them recognisable and respect their skin tones / body shapes!
- Feel free to make alternative media based off of my OCs!
-Honestly, I prefer OCs from team Skeptics being drawn over Researchers and Cryptids, but if you wanna play to win, it's understandable.
- My Aces are Sammy for team Cryptid and Hazel for team Researcher!
if team skeptics had an ace it would 100% be Nikonor but. Team skeptics have no aces please don't tag him as an ace character
- Some characters have alternative forms and AUs! Feel free to draw those!
- Generally I prefer the drawn forms in the banner though!
- Please try and attack a range of characters rather than focus entirely on one specific character!
It would make me happier seeing everyone being drawn rather than the same ones over and over!

Understandable! Here are some of my personal recommendations!
Nikonor and Sapphire - Basically my comfort couple at this point I am sorry-
Sapphire is interested in the whole potion making thing, and ends up asking Nikonor to help her out after witnessing him selling his potions. However, Nikonor is merely lying, but plays along regardless. They end up interacting more outside of brewing sessions, such as Nikonor going out of his way to visit Sapphire in the garden she maintains (and showing her cool shit/locations he finds) and Sapphire often giving him things that reminded her of him. This eventually leads to Nikonor having to confess that he’s been lying, but they’re able to eventually get over this hurdle and remain close. They become borderline romantic. They’re basically a couple though lets be real-
Things to keep in mind: Nikonor is shorter than Sapphire! Sapphire is 5'2" whilst Nikonor is 4'9"
Hazel and Sammy - Mentor and Mentoree
Hazel never seems to be happy with anything Sammy does. However, at this point, Sammy is obligated to be by Hazel's side 24/7 - it's part of his job after all. Hazel is currently letting Sammy use the weapon J made for her because. Y'know, she sees potential in him, she wouldn't just let anyone use her equipment......
Things to keep in mind: There is nothing happy about their dynamic. Please make any interactions as angsty as possible. Sammy is also taller but haven't figured out heights so-
Sammy and Nikonor - Frenemies
Sammy finds Nikonor to be annoying, but he can't help but respect him due to his way with words. Still would rather punch him in the face, but eh, I'm sure Nikonor would probably wanna do the same to him. Sammy knows Niko wouldn't though, so it's only fair he doesn't either.
Things to keep in mind: Sammy's 6'3" and Nikonor's 4'9"
Kitty and The Mafioso - OCxCanon pair exclusive to team Skeptic!
Although I prefer Sapphire being drawn for the event, if you draw these two together I would CRY 16 year old me would be proud
I made a lore / headcanon doc here you go. Essentially, Kitty is a Town Traitor Escort whose sick of the Town's shit and wants to fight against it. The Mafioso is sick of the Mafia's shit, but knows that fighting against it is futile (besides they're not that bad, they are family, it's just he disagrees with some aspects of it and as such doesn't getting on well with some of the more important members).
They bond over this mutual feeling, and it soon becomes a proper relationship. Kitty being the only person the Mafioso is soft for? ABSOLUTELY.
If you wanna draw some angst, feel free to draw Kitty’s “Wilted Rose” alt! Basically wilted rose is “Bad end Kitty” where she gets fully dragged into the life of crime. Or the Mafioso dies idk. She gets fucked up either way.
Things to keep in mind: Please don't whitewash the Mafioso, and try to keep his facial hair consistent with his design ;A;
Researcher OCs

Characters, left to right:
In short - the current leader of a bandit gang, whose been known to be very difficult to please. She's stealthy and uses her knives to provide support.
Snarky and smug and very confident. She often uses her adorable appearance as a facade. She prefers for the gang to do the fighting, but hey, it's a rule that everyone fights together.
Design notes: I prefer her being drawn with the face paint, but nw if you don't include it!
In short - irresponsible woman whose also somehow the one developing the guild's weaponry. Most people see her as some kind of cool aunt.
It's honestly amazing how much shit J can get away with, though that's primarily due to her relationship with Hazel. Reality is she's kinda self concious about getting screwed over any moment, and tends to project this insecurity onto others. Also actively chats shit about other folks, loves the drama (trademark). And her cat, Tommy.
Design notes: Please try and keep her looking older!
In short - the leader of the adventurer's guild, with an interest in all sorts of things. Where her true passion lies is in research and advancement - especially involving sentiments.
Hazel is very business orientated and incredibly cold and calculating. She tends to value people based on how they can help her as opposed to how good of a person they are.
Design notes: Yeah she's old. Please draw her old thanks.
In short - Runaway noble girl who doesn't want anything to do with her family, especially her father (see: Lucius) and would want to see him fall. She was initially praised for her singing voice, but has since lost it. Seems to always be followed by things going wrong (spoilers - she probably caused it)
Design notes: The skirt is meant to be ripped up a bit!
In short - Mechanic and Scientist that seems to love to tinker with contraptions and how people get attached to them. Has a massive weakness for women, and some people say he comes off as VERY creepy. Being secretive about his projects doesn't exactly help either... also has a daughter (Ekho) that he seems to ignore in favour of his own endeavours.
Design notes: Please don't forget the facial hair! His right hand is also mechanical and prosthetic! It can detach and function under his control
Cryptids OCs

In short - One of two demon folks to exist in universe (the other is his mom), very shy and withdrawn, doesn't think much of himself but is really good at cooking.
Design notes: The moss can be drawn as you please / wherever it works best.
In shorter - One of two demon folks to exist in universe (the other is her son), Lives on the village outskirts and makes hand crafted items, mainly Jewellery and Wooden items.
Design notes: N/A
In short - Wizard who prefers to keep his distance from others, and business to himself. Ask him about it and he'll just get irriatated, even if he likely knows the answer.
Sammy tends to remain professional 24/7, and also keeps a straight face all the time. He has to keep things organised, and the moment Sammy is taken off his plan, Sammy freaks out (internally).
Design notes: Don't draw him skinny, and his hat tends to tilt downwards! This is mostly a style thing though so please interpret as you please!
In short - the former leader of a bandit gang who went missing, but then suddenly returned one day. He's decided to trust his sister with the gang, and acts as her right hand man.
Maxwell is very adored for his rowdy yet sociable nature. He doesn't quite understand personal space and often squishes people in hugs. If someone's distant, he'll go out of his way to get them involved. He can be kinda aggressive though - especially in battle, and refuses to back down from a challenge.
His altnerative form is residue from his lost passions (bro died one time but came back with this "true form") - either form may be drawn! Though disguise form is preferred-
Design notes - Maxwell is very muscular so please keep that in mind! His face paint is preferred, but not required! Please don't forget the scars either!
His "true form" is meant to TOWER over all my other characters, but aside from that I don't have much else - so go wild w/ it's design!
Mechanical girl brought to life through the sheer passion of her creator. Thinks everything is beautiful, and falls for anything beautiful.
Design notes: DO NOT DRAW HER WITH HER EYES CLOSED. Her eyes are meant to keep a neutral expression because she's a doll! There's also a coin embedded on her left hand and she has doll joints!
Skeptics
"...just between us, I don't think it's wise to keep them locked up in there... and that's ME saying that!!"
Any OC on Team Researcher or Team Cryptid may be drawn for team Skeptic!
HOWEVER. I have characters excusive to Skeptics which I would 100% prefer being drawn over them!!

(i’m sorry I can’t be bothered to include Layla and Alexander in the line up I already have to draw them so much for my class-)
With Sapphire and Hans, you may also decide to draw their original forms, though the linked AU is preferred!
