Silverberry

Silverberry was a medicine cat of WindClan. She is the daughter of Bouldercrash and Whitefrost, and sister of Soakedears and Petaltail. She was mentored by Hivepelt. It took her longer than most apprentices to memorize herbs. she felt like a failure and considered becoming a warrior apprentice instead, but Hivepelt was patient and encouraged her to believe in herself. She mastered her skills and earned her full name. She served alongside him as WindClan's medicine cat during Bone Shred's attacks. When Hivepelt was killed by the rogues, she became sole medicine cat.

Silverberry received Starpaw as an apprentice and was kind and patient with her throughout her training. She gave her her full name, Starfaith. When Deserve's allies attacked the medicine cats at the Moonstone, Mottledface and Papercut leave her critically wounded. Bloodfur kills her to end her suffering.

In death, Silverberry ascended to StarClan.

"Murderer! You're the same fleabags who killed Starfaith, aren't you?"

Silverberry is kind and patient. She took great pride in Starfaith and thought highly of her. She feels honored to have the gift of being a medicine cat, and thinks talking to StarClan is peaceful yet exciting. It gives her an amazing feeling to visit the Moonstone and heal an injured Clanmate.

Kithood

Silverkit is born in WindClan to Bouldercrash and Whitefrost alongside her siblings, Soakedkit and Petalkit.

Medicine Cat Apprentice

Silverpaw becomes a medicine cat apprentice, mentored by Hivepelt. It takes her longer than most apprentices to memorize herbs. She feels like a failure and considers becoming a warrior apprentice instead, but Hivepelt is kind and patient with her, encouraging her to work hard and believe in herself. In time, she masters her skills.

Full Medicine Cat

Silverberry earns her full medicine cat name and serves as WindClan's medicine cat alongside Hivepelt during Bone Shred's attacks on the Clans. When Hivepelt is killed, she becomes the sole medicine cat of WindClan.

Training Starfaith

After the deaths of Weaselnose and Dreamwhisper, Silverberry comforts Starkit by telling her how her parents are watching over her from StarClan. It inspires her to become a medicine cat, and Starpaw is apprenticed to Silverberry.

Silverberry enjoys training Starpaw and sees a wonderful medicine cat in her. After helping to deliver Willowtail's kits, she is horrified when Icetail kills Graykit and Polarkit and sadly explains to the Clan that in some cases toms will kill their kits because they resemble prey. She urges the Clan to remember Icetail for the warrior he was and not blame him for actions beyond his control. Unaware of Starpaw's relationship with Dewpaw, she believes her apprentice foresaw Icetail's madness and urges her to be honest with her next time.

One night, Silverberry proudly names Starfaith a full medicine cat, in honor of her faith and loyalty to StarClan. She allows her to spend the night at the Moonstone and is surprised when Starfaith admits nothing happened as she suspected. Starfaith tells her about the "A Star Will Die" prophecy, but neither cat can conclude its meaning.

At the next Highstones meeting, Silverberry is deeply concerned for Starfaith when she awakes badly shaken. When Starfaith pleads with her to let Dewstorm stay with her, she realizes the affection between them. She plans to speak to Starfaith about her vision and relationship with Dewstorm the next day, and she leaves with the other medicine cats.

Death

Silverberry is distraught when Starfaith is killed at Highstones, and becomes the sole medicine cat of WindClan again. In the Moonstone cave while dreaming with StarClan, Bloodfur, Mottledface, and Deserve's soldiers attack the medicine cats. Silverberry furiously faces them, guessing they're the same cats who killed Starfaith. She is terrible wounded by Mottledface and Papercut before Bloodfur puts her out of her misery.

StarClan

In death, Silverberry ascends to StarClan. Her death leaves WindClan without a medicine cat, but Dewstorm leaves ShadowClan to take her place.

Hivepelt and Silverberry are lounging together in the starlight. (Winds of Darkness, chapter 6)
