radio is a former kittypet, born a little while after the initial nuclear explosion that killed a lot of humans or made them move away. she was found right after her birth by an older human man who stubbornly stayed in the area. he took care of her until he was forced to leave by his family, and before he left he put a camera collar on her in the hopes he or his family could track her and come back to find her one day.

radio wandered the remains of the city for a while after xe was left, struggling to survive on her own after being cared for by a human for all of xyr life. finally, after a few moons, a scout patrol from vividclan found xem, half-starved and fur seeming almost solid brown from the amount of dirt xe picked up and didn’t clean out.

she was offered a place within the clan and she accepted. she was too old to be a real apprentice, 18 moons as the time she joined the clan, but she has yet to gain her full name and has an unofficial mentor, though she sleeps with the rest of the full-grown cats. radio’s teacher is a scout named daggerfog, one of the cats on the patrol that found her. dagger is only a few moons older than radio, but was trusted to teach her, and has been taking care of radio since she arrived in the clan. the two of them get along pretty well and are growing closer as friends.

radio is a little dependent and struggles to be on xyr own at all. xe is timid and cautious, but is desperate for someone to care for xem and xe doesn’t do well at all with rejection. xe learns quickly and isn’t having too much trouble learning about clan life. xe is generally pretty open and honest with what xe’s thinking and feeling.
